Our stay in Honeysuckle bungalow was perfect. Very well maintained with everything you need including tea, coffee and milk and some lovely biscuits on arrival. Lovely and quiet and we hope to return very soon.

DO NOT GO HERE ! If I could give it a 0 star review I would!Have had a really bad experience this week - my partner and I booked a four night stay and left after one night.Lodge smelt musty and dirty as soon as walked in, sofas in the living and dining full of hair, dust and was smelly! The sofas were rock hard, not even comfortable to watch TV on.Beds were meant to be a double, instead 2 small single mattresses on the floor with a gap in between. These were also rock hard, which meant we slept on the sofas, which were a tad less rock hard than the beds. Woke up with sore backs. How romantic for our 4 year anniversary to be sleeping on the sofas?!Kitchen utensils were not clean, we had to chuck away our food as did not want to cook here.Popped into the hot tub as this was one of the main factors of getting this lodge. Awful! Did not smell clean, was not a hot tub more like luke warm tub. The decking area it was on was filthy, filled with moss and so was the outdoor seating area.Arrived Monday around 5pm, left on Tuesday 12pm. Both are absolutely devastated as we were waiting for this getaway, as we had to cancel our holiday abroad due to some health issues.I have since written an email to Woodthorpe Leisure Park on Tuesday and have had no response. Also have messaged them on social media, no response. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK! Absolutely awful place - don’t waste your money.

Been here several times and been really good however after our most recent stay the maintenance staff need retraining on how to be customer friendly and cleaners should have spotted that the woodlands bungalow absolutely stank of drains due to the drain outside being partially blockedSo bungalow absoulute stunk for 24hrs until maintenance team arrived who wernt very interested or talkative noticed that the hotub hadn't had the leaves and debris taken out like had done on previous occasions getting quite lapse in some areas otherwise ok

Popped in to ask about their golf course but thought it a bit expensive.

Just back from a stay in Chestnut Cottage. We were very disappointed, they layout was not as described, the sauna didn’t work, the hot tub was faulty and we had problems it’s the dishwasher, the staff didn’t seem to care and were less than useless, there was no children’s entertainment and the adult consisted of one quiz night. Dont go if you have children it’s more a golfing and fishing complex. We feel completely conned and have a complaint ongoing with hoseasons

It would be better if they had upto date vacancies as we were told they were really busy and struggled to get us two pitches together. Only for us to be the only ones on touring site for 3 days.

We booked a week in the acorn cabin. It looked beautiful and it really was, hot tub, kitchen, clean bathroom and fresh bed linen. On arrival (we arrived later than check in time) we made our way to the pub to be greeted by Alan who was a cherry helpful chap who let my two boys ride on his golf buggy to guide us to the cabin. Excellent start! When we got to the cabin we were given the key and shown the guides/map on the table. We were left to start. I noticed the bed/s on the mezzanine were infect two single (very small!) mattresses pushed together and the pull out sofa bed was a smaller than double bed… as two normal sized adults we had to use the singles and make do as we wouldn’t have had space on the sofa bed. A shame but we didn’t bother moaning. The mezzanine is alive the dining and bathroom, up a very steep ladder. Once up to the top you have to crouch to climb over to the furthest side. The jacuzzi was clean and very inviting we used it almost every day. Could not fault. Now for a moan… the place is infested by wasps! You physically cannot sit outside anywhere to enjoy food or drink without a dozen or more wasps accompanying you! They plagued us at the cabin and the restaurant, they don’t seem to care about removing the wasps so you have to deal with it. Our cabin was pet friendly, and we took our dog small JRT. When I first sat on the sofa it stunk of wet dirty dogs. I barely sat on it for our whole week. It definitely needs a thorough shampoo! Luckily the pull out bed/mattress did not smell. The restaurant is fairly small for a site this large -and seems to be building more accommodation. So staff were slim pickings and definitely not service with a smile. Only one chap engaged in convo with us the whole week and was lovely although I didn’t catch his name. The food is average although good portions. The bar area is too cramped as people stand there drinking their pints so when trying to order drinks or food it’s a bit of a struggle and queues can get quite long! There was no entertainment on until Friday which was bingo, and it seemed to be all the locals rather than holiday makers. Also, Saturday was a singer which we didn’t attend. There is absolutely nothing for children. There is too very small ‘parks’ which has a single climbing frame and slide. My kids were very bored the whole week despite trying to make friends with very few children who were there. One of the parks has a huge area of empty space and so much could be done with it. Would be an amazing resort if it had a pool or crazy golf added on. It’s definitely suited to adults on golf trips or fishing trips. There is nothing for a good 30 min drive anywhere so we had to go out every day to find activities which can get very costly. The park was immaculate though, very well maintained and clean, bins always emptied and lawns cut. We used the laundrette on site but quite expensive at 5.50 for a 25 min wash and they are quite small drums. However, we chose to wash our clothes to save the hassle when we got home as our cabin had a maiden to use which was handy. So no real grumble from me. We noticed the sluice area for the caravans was immaculate and no smells. The cabin was only equipped with 2 toilet rolls and 2 teabags and sugar. Nobody comes to housekeep or top up unless by chance you catch them doing the rounds on exit days which we did and the lovely lady gave us two more rolls and offered clean towels and bed linen. On exit you must strip all bedding yourself and place all towels etc in the bags provided, also removing rubbish during the week to the recycling areas (also clean and plenty) We had a lovely stay and made the most of what we had but unless the wasp situation is sorted we wouldn’t come back again (as a couple rather than family) so much potential from a beautiful resort. Thank you for a great stay

Very disappointed, this is not a family holiday place at all there nothing for children but two.little claiming and slide sets, I booked for a week for there only to be children disco on once then the rest off the week it's been bingo mostly adults and quiz nights. If you are older and like golf then this is for you not family's. My family holiday has been a nightmare, in the end we got day passes down road at the butlins site to use there pool and children play area and amusements x
