Fantastic place, great food, good value, the mist wonderful staff, dog and family friendly. Airbnb caravan park just behind so you could book, eat, drink, be merry …and sleep-over, enjoying a walk by the river the next morning. Perfect! ??

We are regular visitors to the Malcolm Arms. The food is good, staff are friendly and prices are very reasonable. The location is ideal if you want to walk off the calories. Give it a try !!

Finished work early, didn't want to cook, so popped into The Malcolm Arms for my favourite lunch - Homemade Steak and Ale pie with mash & seasonal veg. And once again, I wasn't disappointed. The pie was rammed to the rafters with beautiful soft chunks of steak. I did think about having pud, but I was so full I didn't need anything else to eat for the rest of the day. It was quiet in The Malcolm Arms, but after working in a busy office, I found that relaxing ?There were no photos as WiFi wasn't working

Both had a lovely Sunday meal today. Mixed grill for me and roast for my Wife. Couldn’t fault any of it. Well cooked, hot and tasty. We were welcomed and served by a very pleasant lady. The only slight quibble was it seemed a bit chilly in there. Would love to see the fire lit at this time of year ? Sadly we were too full for puds. Will definitely be back soon, there’s lots on the menu we would love to try. Thanks all.Vegetarian options: Good choice

The Malcolm arms always used to be warm and welcoming but today was horrendous, couldn’t even afford to put the heating on. Customers sat eating their food in the coats.Staff that didn’t know what they was doing. The owner just sat and watched the bar staff struggle and leaving customers waiting longer than needed.Maybe a smile instead of unwelcoming stare.Food pre ordered a week ago yet told sorry we are short of one steak. Not acceptable! Their loss which was an expensive dish.Hats off to the chef for passing his level 1 in catering at best maybe go back for some more training. Food wasn’t worth the money and tasteless.Certainly won’t be going back again!

Really disappointed. Party of 13 so was asked to preorder food, which was done within reasonable time. On arrival we waited longer that needed to order drinks due to one bar maid working the bar while the landlord stood and the end of the bar just watching, no welcoming smile or acknowledgment just a unfriendly glare. We were seated in the conservatory, which was cold and no heating seemed to be on. We were informed once seated that one dish that was pre ordered was unavailable and no effort was made to contact us prior to our booking, costly mistake as it was a steak dish. Hair in a side salad was very off putting too. If you like boiled chicken or microwave lasagne this pub is for you. Definitely spoilt Boxing Day dinner so I wouldn’t recommend booking a table here for a special occasion.
