Walked in at lunch-time. Would advise booking as we got the last available table. Food was great; lunchtime menu 1 course £9. Fish pie was lovely (quite a few prawns in there), fish in batter was superb and scampi cooked just right. Lovely friendly staff and we’ll be back :)

Best meal I've had out in ages! Had chicken with stilton filling and it was delicious. Friends had excellent fish dinners. We were spoilt rotten by the staff too. Can't wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: My friend is vegetarian and gluten free. She was given lots of options including tailoring some of the dishes to suit

Lovely food and service the only thing would say just have background music
The lunchtime food is an excellent menu at a very reasonable price I had the curry which was first class as it came but the chef kindly pepped it up even hotter for me with a small portion of his personal mixed pickled chillies and garlic. What a treat. My friends all had gammon and all declared it to be very good. Desserts were very good too. All in all an excellent and friendly country pub well worth a visit

Visited with a large walking group for lunch. We pre-ordered our meals from a wide selection choice, all served quickly & hot with plenty of side dishes.Very good quality of food served & value for money.No complaints from the group.Also has a good car parking area at rear, well worth a visit.
