Milestone Rd, BourneSince this last refurb and new menu, we really enjoyed our visit. It was our daughter's 18th birthday and there was 6 of us visiting. 2 people over 80, our daughter, her girlfriend and myself and my husband. The selection on the menu was great for all. There was no drinks menu yet and that was a little disappointing but a quick walk to the bar to a well informed barman was no bother.
When we walked in the hostess was right there to greet us and took us to our table. Service was quick (possibly a bit too quick with elderly diners) but for us it was perfect. Food was really good and not only looked appetising, it also smelt and tasted how it looked! So spot on there! Loved the metal plates the burgers came on. Works well for that rustic feel of a burger and fries. We are a bit of a chip/fry connoisseur and the oil the fries and chips were cooked in was perfect. Portion sizes are good as well. Nobody left hungry.
Was a bit disappointed that for 3 small onion rings it was £1.50. they were really nice and somewhat crispy. Small being approx size of a fifty pence piece. I would have thought they would have been a bit bigger or thicker for that price.
One of our guests had the tomato soup. How pleasant it was to see that it looked homemade and tasted rather nice. We do hope it was homemade and look forward to coming for a bowl of soup and roll on a cold evening.
We stopped going because it was just always the same old same old and have found that this last refurb and menu has re-sparked our liking for the premises. Well done Tom, Sian and the team.xx
Quick update and edit. Today is daughters 20th birthday and we returned.
3 different kinds of burgers (awesome) scampi and chips and the roast beef dinner.
Scampi was good and filling. The roast dinner was slightly mediocre with some potatoes inedible and the beef quite grisly and tendony. Thankfully its a large plate of food so it didnt require stopping to complain but we did just mention to our wonderful server in case it was a one off. Other than that, another enjoyable meal

Unit 3, Sedgefield Court, BourneWow! A great coffee place with amazing food! The soft play was extremely clean and the staff were excellent! I would also recommend the brownies, and the chipotle Cajun chicken.

Zorba Kebab
13 Abbey Rd, BourneWe live in Deeping but we're out in Bourne Sat night and as Zorba is open late, we popped in for a kebab after the pub. One Donner and one chicken shish, both were great, really good quality, lovely tender chicken and nice fresh salad. Thank you

41 Abbey Rd, BourneUse regularly for odd takeaway and always a lovely meal but for a large birthday celebration meal I preordered via messenger and they couldn't have been any more attentive to make sure my order was correct. Arrived to collect at time I needed, food all ready, piping hot and delicious. Lovely meal would 100% recommend them and the use of messager for large or exact time orders. Great service thank you

Bourne Pizza and Kebab is absolutely top-tier. I’ve tried a lot of takeaways over the years, but this one really stands out. The food was hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The pizza was cooked perfectly with a crispy base and loads of toppings, and the kebab was juicy, well-seasoned, and came with a generous portion of salad and sauces. You can tell they care about quality. Delivery was fast and the service was friendly. Honestly, this is now my go-to place — highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Domino's Pizza - Bourne
Unit 5, 18 Abbey Rd, BourneHonestly can't go wrong with the food at dominos.
We ordered for self pick up and it was ready by the time we arrived. We'd forgotten to order sides though but they were happy to accommodate us even though they did look like they were about to close. Waited an additional 10 ish mins for the sides but so worth it!

8 Abbey Rd, BourneA hidden gem in Bourne’s crown. I used to be a regular, sadly not had the opportunity to visit for last few years. I went last night with my wife and her friends/colleagues for her works Christmas meal. Pleased to see that it has not lost its charm and retained its quality of service and food. We were welcomed and seated quickly, offered to take our coats and given time to settle and view the menu. We were allowed to bring our own alcohol as they are a dry bar, reasonable corkage fee, they supplied us with wine glasses. If you are looking for an intimate, well presented restaurant with great customer service and quality food I highly recommend Shalimar. Definitely will make an effort to return sooner next time.

The owner’s are absolutely lovely and are more happy to answer any questions about their dishes, which I believe are very authentic. A really lovely wine list too. Wild Heart Café
Units 3 & 4, Angel Precinct, North St, BourneI visited this café for the first time with my mum at about 12.15pm on Wednesday 18 February 2026, a bitterly cold, windy day. The café was busy and it was clear that many of the customers had arrived in the past few minutes, as we had to wait about half an hour for our food. However, the food was so tasty it was well worth the wait. We ordered spicy parsnip soup and a hot ham and cheese croissant. After that we ordered a tea, hot chocolate, slice of chocolate Guinness cake and a scone. Everything was outstanding and the ladies serving were really friendly. We would definitely recommend. One negative ..... it was really chilly in there but then, as I said earlier, it was a particularly chilly day outside.

The ribs in capital sauce are always tender and full of flavour, and lately the chicken with cashew nuts has been perfect, fresh, crunchy, and generous.
