Such a gem. Incredible scones with the most ingenious flavour combinations. Today we chose pear and ginger and cherry bakewell both were divine. Great coffee too.

Our First visit, we had the afternoon tea, absolutely delicious. The staff were all lovely and friendly, we felt very welcome and well looked after. Beautiful vintage tea room atmosphere, you feel like you are stepping back in time for a while. We will certainly be revisiting again and will be recommending it to everyone, thank you!!!

First time we visited, seen the little cafe before on passing and so as it was my birthday I requested husband to take me for tea and cake as it is my favourite thing to do! We were met by a pleasant lady who directed us to a free table, obviously a popular place as some tables were reserved. We ordered tea and cake and it was thoroughly enjoyed. Service was pleasant and polite with friendly staff. The tea and cake was brought out very swiftly and we were left to enjoy with a big pot of tea so we were happy! We were not rushed and enjoyed the ambience of the place with lovely 1940s music in the background with British flag table cloths and bunting it was delightful! We will return. They do ask you to pay by cash due to card charges but as we didn’t have cash staff were still happy to accept card. Very clean also.

Afternoon tea was delicious, with a great choice of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Small or large, great value.

From the offset I was uncomfortable with how tiny the place was inside, with hardly any room to move between tables. The girls were unfriendly and rather rude when I enquired about the quiche. They were bickering between each other. I found their whole attitude unprofessional and this gave Me a bad impression from the offset. The lunch itself was mediocre at best. When the waitress came to the table to pay, I told her to add a tip but was greeted with neither a smile nor a thank you. Definitely will not be returning. Expect much more professionalism from staff. Very disappointed, as had heard great things about this place. I am only rating it a 2 as I liked the decor and China teacups!!!

Group of four. Reservation beforehand. Afternoon tea was good. I had egg on toast. The staff forgot the jam and cream. My plate was dirty. Otherwise, nice experience. Maybe smile more?

Absolutely amazing 5* me and my wife came here with a voucher we received for our one year anniversary and we loved it! We walked in and was greeted with friendly hellos from all the staff! We was sat at the table and then menus brought over we had a large afternoon tea and was amazed that we could choose what sandwiches we wanted the sandwiches were fresh and full of filling, sausage rolls were nice and warm, the quiche also all washed down with a lovely pot of tea for two we had an enjoyable afternoon tea and the decor and ambiance was second to none we will definitely be retuning very soon thank you to all the staff it was amazing !

Great fresh food and a lovely inviting atmosphere! The sandwiches were light and delicious... The cake portions were very generous, even enough for us to take home and enjoy later!Staff were friendly and welcoming and there was a great buzz about the place. Was a slight shame about the amount of cakes that weren't available, and then had to change our order once it had been placed due to more cakes selling out. There was also a slight delay on our food, almost an hour from siting down. But would HIGHLY recommend and can't wait to come back!!

Brought my mum here for Mothers Day, booked the afternoon tea with a complementary glass of prosecco for Mum. The staff are extremely friendly and tentative, the tearoom is very quaint with beautiful matching cups, saucers and teapots. Afternoon tea was beautiful, the sandwiches were so fresh, the scone is one of the best I have had and the little starters (mackerel, chicken & tarragon and creamy mushroom) were simply delicious. Loved the lemon drizzle cake, my only slight comment would be having 4 desserts and two of them were chocolate, chocolate brownie and chocolate mousse. I'm not a chocolate pudding fan so unfortunately left these but that's just my taste, for chocolate lovers out there it would be heaven. Never been before, but I believe this is now my new go to when out and about in Brigg..............can't wait to revisit

We thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day Afternoon Tea. The setting was quaint, with a vintage feel to the room, beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. With a great range of homemade savoury and sweet treats, unlimited tea and coffee, and a complementary glass of prosecco for the Mums. Good to see that it is also dog friendly too. All in all a lovely experience. Thank you.

We moved from the Brigg area several years ago but had used Shipleys all the time when we lived there. Returning for a shopping expedition a few days ago, we decided to re-visit. It was as delightful and welcoming as ever. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff terrific and the array of home made cakes amazing. We had Cappuccinos and cakes and they were absolutely delicious. Shipleys is the ONLY dog friendly cafe in Brigg and the owner remembered us and our dog and brought him a biscuit which he enjoyed and he is generally very fussy with treats. It was really nice to re-visit and find the cafe as enjoyable as we remembered. I cannot recommend Shipleys highly enough !
