Wish I’d read the reviews! Unfortunately since reopening with new owners the fish and chips are awful. Only 2 staff on a Friday night so long wait. Tried to give me 1 mushy peas less than I ordered. Wish I’d let them as they were burnt. Fish was ok but batter was either rock hard or soggy. Won’t be going back

Popped in for a quick late lunch, how disappointing. The chips were only warm and had a horrible flavour. The fish was only warm too and the batter was soggy. We won’t be going again for a very long time, if ever ?

Cold peas, hard warmed up chips and fish smelled off. Car and house now smell worse than fish docks. Used to be lovely. Wont go again!

Been coming here for years for fantastic food. Recently under new management and it is now terrible. Poor quality oil being used (grease drips down the back of your throat) and what appeared to be frozen chips. This place is now a disgrace. Don't waste your money here. Lots of competition in the town.

Paid £20 for 3 Lots of chips, curry sauce and fishcake. Tasteless, not all cooked and worse chips we've ever had. Won't be returning as a family again or even at all!

Food was nice, but the slow service and the blame for any wrong thing being put on the trainee cashier wasn't fair. Needless to say I don't think we'll visit again anytime soon

Called in on my way home, (18:10) today and ordered Sausage chips and gravy, plus Steak Pie chips and gravy. When I got home discovered….. 1. The sausage was missing. 2. The chips were not fresh and tasted a bit like cardboard. 3. Lots of small chips, which were hard. 4. Gravy was overly thick Not a great experience, cannot recommend.

Worst fish and chips we have ever had. Chips seemed warmed up. Fish tasted old and batter still soggy on the inside. Last time I waste 17 quid at this place!! At least the dog was pleased we left the fish!!

Called in for a quick tea, decided to try as under new management. Chips were like chewing cow hide- awful,the only nice thing was the fishcake, cheap tinned mushy peas-awful. Waste of money thrown in the bin. Will not be returning.

Good quality, very large portions. Only downside....they didn't take cards so we had to limit our order as not mich cash with us

A very quiet night in the Resturant but very tasty! The cod and chips were lovely as were the haddock and chips. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a very tasty meal.

Been today, fish good and hot peas good, chips got 6 whole chips out of a bag for two people the rest just bits(scraps) very disappointed to think staff can serve them has chips. Won't be returning again. Wish I'd have taken a pic to show what I got.

I have never had so much grease leaking through the cardboard containers that it soaked my trousers. The chips were dry and the batter inedible .There is a strong smell of grease on entering the premises .Expensive and not an enjoyable meal
