I organise a yearly reunion of classmates from The Kings School circa ‘74 - ‘80.So we are starting our senior years and some of us are a bit long in the tooth! This year I decided to go off piste and plum for a more traditional menu which was when I approached Karen at The Eden.Together we put a selection option. What can I say?The roast beef was as good as your mam’s!The fish n chips looked so good I wished I’d chosen it!And the curry was on par with any of the specialist eateries.Food and service was second to none!Ask me where to go in town for good food and service? The Eden! Thanks Karen and team!

We went for a meal and catch up(6 ladies) the service was ok, main course arrived, it was lovely food, everyone enjoyed it, when that cleared the table we weren’t asked if anyone would like desserts, we had to ask for a dessert menu, limited choice but 5 of us decided to order. When the desserts did arrive they were not as described on the menu, no accompaniments, the cheesecakes had clearly been defrosted in a microwave as there were warm and cold patches with a soggy bottom. The sticky toffee pudding had been scorched in the microwave. When asked where the raspberries and coulis’s were, the young waitress apologised and bought 2 small pots of frozen raspberries to the table. Not somewhere I will be returning to.

I would Absolutely recommend this place the food is amazing, good portions Karen the chef goes above and beyond, my daughter has a eating disorder so is very fussy the chef made her tomato soup which wasn’t on the menu, we had a range of dishes from ribeye steak to gammon steaks to the curry will definitely go back I can’t express enough how good this place is, it makes a change when they actually care for their customers which is a rarity these days

Really friendly staff and wonderful food, good value and dog friendly. We had a few hours to spend today and really enjoyed our time with our pooch here. Definitely recommend and thank you for looking after us so well.

Amazing bar staff and efficient service. Couldn’t of picked a better place to have a few drinks with a great atmosphere. Harry and Kimberly were especially helpful in picking a choice of the fine wines and draft beers. Highly recommend

Stopped here for a bite to eat on a recent stay in Grantham and could not recommend it enough. My 1 year old son has several life-threatening allergies and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and accommodated. The chef (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name) was so attentive and came to our table with a comprehensive allergen guide. She then offered to cook my son a meal off the menu, free of charge. Not many places care for their customers' needs to this extent and it didn't go unnoticed. Food was great too - especially the triple-cooked chips! Thanks again.

This wine bar is in Grantham's charming Market Square. We wanted a drink and a snack before driving home. We sat in the pleasant area in front of the wine bar. The coffee came after some time - but after half an hour no sign of the food.I went inside to chase it up - and was assured it would be with us soon. After waiting for a while, I went back inside to see what was happening. They checked with the chef and said it was on the way. I waited for another while - it started to rain. Still no food.So I asked again. "But it's on your table!" - pointing to an inside room. "But I told you we're outside." "Oh" - and he went to the kitchen again. "I'm really sorry, there's been a mixup, it'll be ready soon." "So the order was forgotten?" "Yes, we've had a rush of orders."I looked round at the nearly empty place and decided to forget our food. I asked for a refund. He tried to give me a refund for much cheaper food than I'd ordered. Finally I got the correct refund. As I left I heard another customer asking where his curry was that he'd ordered 20 minutes earlier. So a great position - but a staff that either need a huge amount of training, or should be replaced. I won't be giving them another try!
