We booked a teppanyaki table and Santos was amazing, so entertaining and the food was amazing. I had the Rib eye which was so tender and the black pepper sauce was so flavourful. My partner had the duck which was also amazing and the hot garlic sauce really had a kick. Our starters were the tempura fried soft shell crab and the ika karaage. My partner was pleasently shocked by the crab, I knew he'd like it and the Ika Karaage was crispy and really well seasoned.
The drinks were to die for!!! The cocktails were perfect and I couldn't stop drinking them, made me a little tipsy but I mean how could I not have them, perfection!! My partner said the Japanese beer was the best beer he had ever tasted and he also really enjoyed the Japanese whiskey.
The service was amazing and they were all so friendly, we booked a teppanyaki table and at first we were told we may not be able to have one, which we were fine with but were pleasantly surprised as we did get a teppanyaki table!! It was my partners first time and he was loving the table and all the entertainment that came with it.
So worth it, need to come again!!

We had such a lovely visit to this beautiful little village pub. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which instantly set the tone for a relaxed evening. The place itself is very aesthetic and cosy, with a gorgeous fireplace that was lit and beautifully warm perfect for a chilled, comfortable meal.

We decided to eat here and we’re so glad we did. To start, we had the whipped feta with jam, which was gorgeous — such a lovely pairing of creamy and sweet, and something a little different from the usual starters. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the ribs and the meat literally fell off the bone tender, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the prawn and salmon pasta, which was equally impressive, packed with flavour and perfectly balanced.

The only slight downside was the chips, which could do with a little improvement, but that certainly wouldn’t stop us from coming back.

Overall, a warm, cosy pub with fantastic food and genuinely lovely staff. We’ll definitely be returning!

Cannot find any faults to be honest. Friendly staff, and a sensible menu offering a variety of options. The food is great as is the service. Only downside was no draught Guinness (or similar) but that's just a personal preference. Having been here to meet friends and eat several times it's consistently good. Also dog friendly, kid friendly, the kind of place you can go for a family meal. I can happily recommend it.

Passing by after a coffee in Westgate Bakery, I looked in the window. A stunning Nepalese girl opened the door and asked would you like to come in? A difficult offer to refuse.

I had only intended to take a look at the buffet but it was too tempting not to stay and eat.

I did not eat much of the buffet, as the Nepalese girl asked would I like a dosa? Not only stunning, but charming and pleasant and very helpful.

It’s not often seen dosa, street food. It was excellent. If possible, it would be nice to serve on a banana leaf.

The owner, wife and children walked in for a meal. We were introduced and long conversation followed about food.

I ordered an iced mngo latte. Good, but not as good as I make or from Lincs Momo Lincoln Central Market.

Meal washed down with Lion Sri Lankan lager.

Restaurant is located in Westgate, serving Nepalese, Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine. Buffet Friday and Saturday evening. One of the few places worth visiting in Grantham.

Grantham, Saturday afternoon and early evening dead, the streets deserted.

Parking: Parking free in the street. Restricted to two hours until after 6pm.

Kid-friendliness: Children of the owner, well behaved, tucked into the food, helped themselves from the buffet.

A takeaway customer with a small boy, the little boy greeted by the Nepalese waitress and treated with the same respect and courtesy as other customers.

Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled access, but, toilets are at the top of steep stairs.

Food was very good. I ordered a meal where I got a large noodle pot (the spicy one) 2 spring rolls, prawn crackers and a drink and I must say it was spot on. I ordered for collection and the food was there ready for when I arrived, piping hot. One of the other reviews said they miss the drinks, well they didn’t miss mine. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming. Overall I’d definitely order from Asian middle bar again in the near future.

Came today 19th Sep for a Lunch. The pub has had new ownership and a change of menu etc. The pub keeps its rustic and welcoming charm as it did previous but with a cleaner aesthetic on the tables. It was just very quiet but understandable with the time of day/new managerment. We both had the sausage and mash and it was utterly delicious! Food arrived hot, well presented, good portion size and in good time. Staff were lovely and friendly to!
Will certainly be coming back to try more of the new menu.

We visited with family today for our relatives 90th birthday. We often come here for the great value Sunday carvery and today was no exception. Sue met us at the door and asked if it was someone’s birthday and we told her it was my aunts 90th. We all sat down ordered our drinks and she started to open her cards and presents and the waitress came along bringing a card and chocolates from the Farrier. What a lovely touch. The carvery was great as always and the staff were all very polite and kind. We all enjoyed our meals. It was another lovely visit and the food is a great price. Only down side is the Mayo is vegan and tastes rubbish but I just nip into KFC were I can buy a garlic mayo for 50p.

The best Pizza Place in town! Delicious, delicious, delicious! This evening we shared a meal for a family of four (equivalent adults who like their food!). There was so much food, we didn’t manage to finish it.. for the first time ever!
Ordinarily we only have one takeaway a month but this was our second time this month.. simply because its SO good!
The service was fantastic, warm friendly welcome. The food was amazing. It was piping hot and fresh. Perfectly seasoned. The chilli sauce was super fresh (clearly made in-house) and had a good spice to it.

A fantastic pub, with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Sarah the landlady and her bar staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional. We recently booked this venue for our daughter's birthday party and Sarah was so helpful and helped us create an awesome evening of laughter, smiles and karaoke! We had nearly 50 people, and Sarah had ensured plenty of staff were available meaning zero waiting time at the bar and we had exclusion use of one large section. This venue also allows children, and with the secured outside grass and play area, it was perfect for the kids to run off and play. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone thinking of going for a chilled beer or looking for a party venue. Thank you again!

I went for lunch with two friends. There were good choices on the menu but mostly sandwiches, panini, salad and omelettes. I had the omelette with ham and mushroom and salad. The best omelette was about 10 inches and the filling was lovely chunks of ham and lots of mushrooms. It was very full of ham and mushrooms. The salad was a little disappointing there was plenty of colourful leaf lettuce but only one tomato and one slice of cucumber. I had ordered this meal previously and had more tomatoes and cucumber.
One of my friends also had the omelette and the other had 2 poached eggs on toast. The eggs were runny and the toast was medium sliced. My friend had only wanted something light. Good choice of drinks with tea and speciality teas and coffees. Each meal was under £10 and the drinks were between £2.80 and £3.60. There is a disabled ramp entry but the door was awkward because it was at the side of the ramp.
I didn't use the toilet. It was very quiet when we went in at 12 noon on a Saturday and the market was on. It did get a little busy later on. The atmosphere was good. They will do table service and payments if you request otherwise ordering and payment is at the counter.
The staff were pleasant and neatly dressed.

Parking: The nearest parking is behind B and M and is 5 minutes walk away. Disabled parking outside is restricted in amount due to loading bay restrictions. There are free bays in wide Westgate but these are very busy.

Stopped ear ? for the 1st time ⏲️ 21.02.2024 in alk my 40 yeats of driving. The grub is 1st class staff are spot on well worth a visit. The lorry Park is a bit rough BUT the rest more than makes up for it. 10 out 10 shame there wasn't more places like this to stay. Excellent experience. Drove to the takeaway in person to order and collect. It’s cash only which I already knew. Very reasonably priced. Was only waiting about 15 minutes for the food. Generous portions of food all very nicely freshly cooked. In particular the very large spring rolls were delicious. They were generously filled with lots of flavour and a good mix of veg meat and prawns. The pancake was light fluffy yet crispy and not oily. Really enjoyed our meal and will returning. Worth the trip just for the pancake rolls.

Cecil Street Fish Shop, 57 Cecil St, Grantham

Came across Cecil Street Fish Shop, it is a little out of the way of the town centre but well worth a visit, really great fish and chips, good portions and well priced would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Grantham.

This is what pubs are all about. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. With an absolute fantastic atmosphere every-time Ive been in. The quiz on a Tuesday is great!!! A right laugh not like other quizzes I’ve been too! Great pub and staff it really is.

Wellies Fish And Chip Shop

I always drive past Wellies and thought I’d finally try it out. I went in last Friday and was instantly greeted by two friendly faces who were very accommodating. The food was prepared very quick, despite there being many other customers there. The pricing is great for the portion size and the spam fritter was my favourite, absolutely delish. Will definitely return and try other things from the menu <3

I love going to this Costa because the colleagues are superb. Very friendly, polite and very accommodating to my autistic child.

Atmosphere is always great, it’s relaxing even when busy, and during seasonal events or celebrations they really make an effort. The seating areas are kept clean and cleared.

Coffee and food taste great, and they have a variety of milks for dietary needs.

Popped in for a much needed coffee after shopping. There's a small seating area to one side which was empty at that time (mid-morning). The coffee was good and the staff extra friendly, so I'd recommend it as a stopping off point for a breather.
