I was working in Grimsby and was stuck with what to eat. Lucky star was recommended to me by a work colleague. I am so pleased I went with this as I received a friendly service and the food was amazing. It was hot and delivered promptly on my requested time. Been in business for many years and for good reason great quality food and service try the duck dishes awesome probably the best in town highly recommended.Other favourites I'd recommendChow mein Cantonese style,Any of the birds nest dishes,(King prawn birds nest,stir fried King prawns, bamboo shoots,water chestnut,red and green peppers, mange tout, pak choi,straw mushrooms, courgette, garden peas,celery,carrot and cashew nuts, served on a nest of crispy noodles with a light sauce that has a hint of chilli).Any of the mixed veg Cantonese style dishes,Wan ton with sweet and sour sauce,Any of the sweet and sour dishes,Any of the Chinese style fish (haddock) dishes.These are a few of my own personal choices the menu is varied and extensive.The shop itself is kept clean and well lit,warm and well decorated.The wheelchair access is good and there's some seating and a television to watch if you find yourself waiting for your food.If you are a seafood eating vegetarian i think you will be spoilt for choice here check the menu out !,the menu is now available online.They also cater for parties. It's cash only here.Also has a 5***** food hygiene rating.Food review June 2019.The couple who ran this takeaway for over30 years have retired and it's now run by younger relatives, but nothing much has changed, the menu remains the same and more importantly the quality of the ingredients and food served is extremely good. I ordered a couple of my favourite dishes today, a roast duck birds nest and a pancake roll, both were excellent, expensive maybe at £8.80 but well worth the expense, no sign of any online service but it appears to be doing well without the technology.Vegetarian options: A good selection of vegetarian options are availableParking: Parking is available available in the adjacent side streetWheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair access is good

Haven’t had a takeaway for ages so gave this place at try. The staff were friendly and the premises is impeccably clean inside and out.Not being a fan of sweet sauces for a main course, I chose duck & black bean sauce as with most local Chinese establishments, it’s a savoury sauce dish rather than sweet. Ordered fried rice too - and that was superb!The duck slices were thick, cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely incredible! However, I felt the black bean sauce was ridiculously salty yet overwhelmingly sugary/sweet too: the contrasting flavours are really hard to describe and a culinary predicament I’d prefer to not experience again

Used to like eating from here. But tonight. 9/5/22 I ordered a beef curry n chips. 4 mouthfuls in. What did I find.... Hmmmmm. Some wire from a metal pan scrub. I have to give 1 star but would rather not give any tbh. Needless to say I shall not be ordering from this establishment again ??
