Grimsby Rd, Humberston, GrimsbyI booked online and chose the time of 11.45. When we arrived there was a long queue outside. My mum is in a wheelchair so although the weather was good, it was a bit windy to wait outside for 15 mins as at 94 she feels the cold. Once we were inside I mentioned that my table was booked for 11.45 and I was told there was a glitch with the computer. However at one point you were open earlier, but changed back to 12pm opening. You really should update your computer.Because of the queue in front of us we didn't get served until 12.40. By the time the food came it was past 1pm.

15 Abbey Gate, GrimsbyAte here lunctime on Sunday. We found it has a lovely warm atmosphere, staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was amazing. The pizza was as good as any pizza I've eaten in Italy. Will definitely be coming again.

The buffet was fantastic , lots of lovely sandwiches , wraps , homemade sausage rolls , quiche, and homemade cakes , blondies etc , also a very tasty lemon and blueberry birthday cake , the staff are friendly ,and it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere , also a large range of beers, wine etc , would highly recommend ?

Lucky Rainbow Chinese Takeaway
286 Wellington St, GrimsbyTried several Chinese takeaways in the area and this is the best by far. Had deliveries and picked up from the shop and all the staff are so happy and friendly. Vegetables in the dishes are crispy, loads of big chunks of meat, and the prawns are massive and actually taste of something.You can see they take pride in what they are doing, most places must cook the prawn crackers days in advance as they are stale and revolting, these guys must cook them on the day as they are crispy and amazing. Normally the wife won't touch them, I had to fight her for these.

19 St Peter's Ave, CleethorpesA very nice little coffee shop. We went in late afternoon and was just in time to be served and have a seat inside. Coffee was beautiful and I had a scone whilst the Mrs had a piece of flapjack that could quite easily have served us both. Staff were friendly and the place was clean and welcoming. We'll worth another visit.

High St, Waltham, GrimsbyMy wife and I went for Sunday lunch at The King's Head on the 3rd March '24. Parked in the car park and signed the car in at the bar (this was overseen by the man behind the bar and he informed me that the vehicle had been registered) before being shown to our seats. Great meal. Yesterday (15th March) the postman delivered a Parking Fine notice for parking for 1hr 6 mins at The King's Head. The fine is for £60 if paid within 14 days (£100 if paid after the 14th day. I have appealed and will have to wait for the result of the appeal.Parking: You might get a fine even if you sign your vehicle in at the bar, even though I signed in I got a fine notice 12 days later.

Drove to pick it up, order was ready on time. We ordered a large & medium chicken kebab + a Donner kebab + chips. Very good value for money, the chicken was lovely and moist & Donner meat very tasty. Jordan served me brilliantly at the bar with a pint of Peroni and Three swords ale and a couple of beer battered mushroom starters. Mushrooms were piping hot and very tasty. Ordered another round of the same and two Southern Fried Chicken burgers from Jordan at the bar, these were brought to us by the very friendly Cheryl who could not do enough for us. Meals were hot and tasty, drinks perfectly poured and served especially the Three swords ale, as a CAMRA member it was spot on.

It knocks spots off the KFC over the road that has disappointed us quite a few times. We can depend on Maccy D's! ?Kid-friendliness: Our 2 young kids are always welcome and often get given crayons and colouring in paper by the lovely hostess. Our 4 year old loves playing on the tablets. 2 year old tries her best too! ?

43 Waltham Rd, Scartho, GrimsbyExcellent chippy. I like my fish moist so ask for lightly cooked. It is always perfect and the really pleasant, cheerful server remembers my order every time I go. This is the only fish shop I’ve found that has mushy peas which taste exactly like those from the pea bung circa 1950 when my mum used to take me there on market day. A happy, tasty childhood memory revisited. Definitely recommend.

We all ordered a different variation of breakfasts with tea and coffee and despite a small wait for a table it was all cooked fresh and piping hot. No1 refreshment rooms, 1 station approach, CleethorpesIf your looking for home made food with fresh ( no frozen) veg from local farms, look no further this pub has the best food ,serving in the afternoon's 7 days a week unless they have one of there many band nights ,where the atmosphere is electrically charged . The friendly staff are brilliant, they make you welcome even if your a stranger you will fit rite in here , the outside seating is plenty ,it is a real suntrap ,can't beet it on a hot summer day . Then there is the number one fest that they have August bank holidays ,you need to be getting a ticket well before the day . It's worth it ,live local bands on from 12 threw till everyone drops. On this occasion there is a outside barbique ,you haven't tasted burgers like Dave's home made burgers ,it's a fantastic atmosphere . In a nut shell the number one it 5 star all round .

Top town market, Freshney Place, GrimsbyFirst time visitors to this little gem. I had the Breakfast Omelette my partner had the regular English. All freshly cooked. Has to be one of the tastiest Omelettes I have ever had. Plus the regular breakfast looked amazing. Will be back and try the lunchtime menu.

It is a niché place to visit playing good musicand a Chef full of banter, there is no place quite like it in town. It has pushed me to try new foods and I cannot get enough. My toddler requests we go visit because they are his favourite Babycinno's. It is clean and cosy with parking nearby. I never have reason or desire to go into Grimsby unless I am visiting this establishment. I cannot recommend it enough

The Laceby Teapot
1 High St, Laceby, GrimsbySo I have just had ‘The Laceby Teapot’ do a buffet for my father’s funeral. Absolutely faultless. From the minute we began speaking I was advised what would be best in terms of ammounts etc, costings where very reasonable and the buffet was fantastic. Cannot praise these guys highly enough. HONEST people who are fantastic at their job.

77 High St, Waltham, GrimsbyThis is the best fish and chip shop in Grimsby & Cleethorpes.It’s a hotly debated topic in this neck of the woods, but to settle it once and for all. The Frying Pan is the best.After trying loads of other places and being disappointed, I’ve been going here for 3-4 years and it’s consistently amazing. The best freshest fish, perfectly fried in crisp but light batter.Everything else on the menu is top class too, decent chips, mushy peas and curry sauce.Staff are friendly and efficient; and the prices are on par with other places.The queue out the door on a Friday and Saturday is testament to how others feel about this place. My family and friends all agree, The Frying Pan rules.Try it and you won’t be disappointed.

48 Littlefield Ln, GrimsbyPopped in here before we went to watch Frankie Boyle at Grimsby auditorium after driving up from Mansfield. We wasn't disappointed. Big portions and the haddock was very big and tasty. a lot cheaper price than down in Mansfield. We would recommend this place.A1+++

The Kings Head
High St, Waltham, GrimsbyMy wife and I went for Sunday lunch at The King's Head on the 3rd March '24. Parked in the car park and signed the car in at the bar (this was overseen by the man behind the bar and he informed me that the vehicle had been registered) before being shown to our seats. Great meal. Yesterday (15th March) the postman delivered a Parking Fine notice for parking for 1hr 6 mins at The King's Head. The fine is for £60 if paid within 14 days (£100 if paid after the 14th day. I have appealed and will have to wait for the result of the appeal.Parking: You might get a fine even if you sign your vehicle in at the bar, even though I signed in I got a fine notice 12 days later.

334 St Nicholas Dr, GrimsbyI have just come off the phone after feeling I had to speak to the manager. I'm pleased to say that my partner and I have just had the most fantastic haddock we've ever bought. Our go to chippy is Wybers but tonight they have exceeded all expectations. Never before has the batter been as crisp, top and bottom as it was tonight. Hats off to this place, always good but today EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you.

No1 refreshment rooms, 1 station approach, CleethorpesIf your looking for home made food with fresh ( no frozen) veg from local farms, look no further this pub has the best food ,serving in the afternoon's 7 days a week unless they have one of there many band nights ,where the atmosphere is electrically charged . The friendly staff are brilliant, they make you welcome even if your a stranger you will fit rite in here , the outside seating is plenty ,it is a real suntrap ,can't beet it on a hot summer day . Then there is the number one fest that they have August bank holidays ,you need to be getting a ticket well before the day . It's worth it ,live local bands on from 12 threw till everyone drops. On this occasion there is a outside barbique ,you haven't tasted burgers like Dave's home made burgers ,it's a fantastic atmosphere . In a nut shell the number one it 5 star all round .

Waltham Windmill Golf Club
Cheapside, Waltham, GrimsbyBest Sunday lunch I have had in a very long time. The beef was amazing, there was plenty of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding where home made and beautiful and the dessert, baileys crème brule was to die for. Will definitely be going back. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
