As has been said before the prices are higher than most. That has always been fine by me as the food quality was excellent. Now however they are constantly skimping meat on the meat dishes, not even a full prawn in my last dish, 1 little piece of chicken and a box of noodles basically for £6.

First time for this Chinese restaurant.Was very surprised at the quality of the food. Also, it was still hot by the time I got back.Very nice. The best I have had for a long time.I will be going there again .It is cash only tho.

New Star has always been our favourite Chinese takeaway, the sweet & sour king prawns and the roast duck dishes along with the special fried rice or young chow fried rice.I know their prices are slightly higher than most but they deliver the food hot & tasty.The drivers are friendly. I will always us this takeaway as I used to use it throughout the 70s when I lived in the area.?? = ??

Not the cheapest around but good quality food in generous sized portions.With friendly service,the shop itself is warm, clean and well lit.They have a delivery service,its cash only here.They have a 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ food hygiene rating.My Favourites,Try the green pepper garlic and black bean sauce dishes the sauce is rich and full of flavour not wishy washy like a lot of the others this is the best I've tasted in a long time delicious.Other meals I've tried and enjoyedCheung bau chicken.Special chop suey.King prawns chop suey.New star special.Chicken with cashew nuts.Chicken Chinese style.Sweet and Sour King prawns Cantonese style.Szechuan king prawns.Yeung chow fried rice.Spare ribs with Peking sauce. I found the spare ribs (pork) particularly good from here very tender.Salt and Spicy Chicken Wings.King prawns with cashew nuts.The pancake rolls are also very good here.Food review May 2022.Popped in here today and ordered a Beef chop suey and chicken fried rice, both nicely cooked the chop suey was loaded with fresh vegetables and plenty of tender pieces of beef, the rice was soft and lightly fried without to much soy and contained plenty of good sized pieces of chicken, the service was friendly and prompt.?I paid £9.90 for my meal.Update February 2023.This place changed owners awhile ago any personally I think that the quality of the food has improved under the new management. ?The menu is online and online ordering is now available.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options are availableKid-friendliness: Nice friendly staff and small meals are availableParking: Parking is available in side streets but can be difficultWheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair access is reasonable
