We had a lovely meal here whilst in Horncastle,Lincolnshire for a few days. Food was fantastic, really delicious. The service was very efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere great,actually took us back to our visits to Italy and reminiscing about them. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

It's a gem of a restaurant. We loved everything about it. It is authentic Italian, which means the atmosphere was superb. We went for a midweek lunch having pre booked , there was a steady stream of customers but the service was excellent , we were served by Sophie who was very polite and very professional , ensuring that customers were served on time. The food is excellent . We loved the background music, which was Italian and not too loud.It is a restaurant that is perfect for lovely lunch, any celebration or a romantic meal.

Experienced a lovely evening at this restaurant, with friends. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The only problem was that I had ordered Monk Fish with Chorizo on a bed of pureed peas. The Monk Fish was over cooked and dry as was the pureed peas. Not pleasant.
Always good service and very freshly cooked food. It is probably best to vook to be sure of a table.

We were passing through Horncastle and stopped at the Monticello for lunch. It was great find, the food was excellent, the service faultless and the atmosphere great. We had authentic Italian food served quickly and with a bill that was surprisingly reasonable. We intend to come back when we have more time.Vegetarian options: A great selection of freshly cooked and delicious dishes.

Lovely staff, great food. I had the Calamari to start, followed by the Pork tenderloin, which was delicious, and Creme Brule for dessert. I recommend a visit. The Pinot Grigio was a very pleasant wine.
