First time at the West Ashby Arms, and it won't be the last. The food was amazing and the portions huge. It was very reasonably priced and the service and ambience was great. ??

Has a family we live in different areas and West Asby Arms was a good middle meeting point for us. We have had a lovely lunch, eating and drinking and being together. The staff all lovely and helpful. Thank you.

Unable to rate this place on their food.Even tho the sign said open and the Internet. The place was closed and locked.Even another car pulled into the car park and checked, then drove off. Therefore, they've had their chance. For wasting my time and others. This becomes the worst restaurant in my history or reviews. To be a good business, you need to be open to your customers.

Great village pub with a nice hot open fire. Pool table and darts to play . Good choice of beer and great food ?. What more could you ask for ?.

Delicious food, friendly people. Not too expensive either. I'll be back next time when at Cadwell Park.

A festive night out with volunteer colleagues at a local charity. Incredibly friendly manager, staff and locals, who breezed thru looking after us all, getting huge amounts of food out at once (20+ covers), piping hot, and with no loss of taste or quality. When puds came out, they were so big/ delicious looking there were a few last-minute extra orders, taken with a smile. We are local-ish and will be back for date night, with visitors etc. Thank you for a great night!!

We visited West Ashby Arms yesterday, sadly for our friends dads Wake, the manager was absolutely brilliant, the buffet was amazing, the gluten free selection was outstanding, it’s a shame we don’t live nearer as it’s a great pub with fantastic food, service and staff

Love this place, biker friendly, and really nice staff. Food is great, good portion size and well presented. Good menu selection and good selection of beers. Beer garden with good sized tables and seats, plus a covered area if you don't like the sun. Views out of the back, over the Wolds is superb.

This place needs the support of the locals. It's a decent pub with reasonable beers and wines. I was there on a Sunday evening and it was quiet. Pool is only 50p. Darts are free. The music over the system was ok.... a bit bias towards the younger generation who weren't in the pub! I live in a village that has lost its pub forever. It's awful. Please don't let this happen to this pub and village.

Had a meal for two in their restaurant on a Friday night, although we booked for an early time 6pm, we were the only ones in their until about 7.30pm when another table arrived, we were surprised at the lack of people. Our meal was good pub grub, although my starter of Brie and cranberry wedges was cold and still a little hard from the freezer. In saying that the young waiter dealt with the situation well and a new starter arrived in no time and hot. The rest of the meal went without a hitch, so all in all a good experience. We would go back again. The picture of my burger is minus the bun, I don't like too much bread.

Very generous portions of Sunday Carvery, excellently cooked. And they had a very talented acoustic musician providing free entertainment. Well worth a visit.

Booked a table for 1pm for Sunday lunch. Arrived at 12.50p and they had given our table to a walk in. I said so it's pointless booking then and was told oh yes it is. Well if you going to give our table away then no. The carvery was ok but the gravy was jelly with lumps. Once we had finished we asked for dessert menu and when the young girl came back she said ive managed to find 2 menus. We said will you be coming back to take our order and she said yes. 15 minutes later my husband went to bar and placed our dessert order. 20 minutes later we asked the young girl if she had forgotten our order and she said no I will go and get it. 10 minutes later she came back and said sorry we don't have any left. We just asked for the bill. When the bill came our dessert was on it. Good job we didn't just go up and pay. Will not be going back for a meal. They really need to get their act together regarding booking and service
