This place shows exactly why you shouldnt go to the chain restaurants around the corner on the waterfront. The experience is soooo different, and soooo much better. Authentic Italian food, served in a beautiful atmosphere. They seated my wife and I with 30 minutes notice early on a Saturday night. If I can nitpick a little, the staff were a little cold and the beer I chose ("English Ale" it said on the menu turned out to be a 500ml bottle of Black Sheep at GBP5, was not cold, but otherwise the whole experience was delightful. Outstanding food quality, price and portion size. My wife and I have visited Italy many times and this was as close as we have come to that experience in Britain. So happy we went here instead of those dreadful chain Italians on the waterfront, definitely going again.

Great food and fantastic

Charming trattoria, chose an opportune time as managed to squeeze me in without a reservation. Went with the orecchiette and it reminded me of my time in Puglia. Definitely one to go back to and try a few more dishes.

What a great find. Tiny, homely, lovely food. House red wine was delicious!

The staff were really friendly. The place had an authentic atmosphere. The food was really, really good - cooked to perfection and wonderfully tasty.

Outstanding! The food was amazing, with wonderful service and atmosphere. It feels as if you are being cooked for in your own home with a private chef! Can not wait to return.

Food was horrendous. Some of it cold too. Tomato sauce on my ragu was absolutely flavourless. Tasted like it was poured out of the cheapest passata tin straight onto the plate without any seasoning. Meat in the dish wasn't great either. Hard and didn't taste too fresh. None of us were happy with our food. Service was okay-ish. Ultimately wouldn't recommend. This definitely isn't Italian food

The restaurant is a little like sitting in Vincenzo's front room. Given the location, this is understandable, and you shouldn't let it distract you from the quality of the food. We've been here several times, and the food is always really tasty, hot and well presented. We will keep using this restaurant

Excellent birthday meal with my partner after prebooking. The setting is in an old lovely converted victorian house, the staff were so welcoming and friendly always with a smile. The whole evening was relaxed and staff were attentive throughout. I'd mentioned whilst booking the table it was my partners birthday and they'd remembered this, so little details matter to them, which for me, made a difference too. We both had different meals, (i had chicken and my partner had a seafood plater) and they were so tasty and flavourful following a huge starter. So my advise is to turn up hungry because you wont leave so. Lol The food was perfect and hot which I totally love. Extremely good range of meals and plenty of drinks choice too. Worth every penny. I'd highly recommend this amazingly little gem of a restaurant whether for lunch or dinner. And we'll be returning soon.

Great little Italian with fantastic food. Six of us dined after pre booking & all enjoyed different dishes. The owners were very welcoming & always on hand to ask if you needed anything. Very warm & friendly atmosphere with a good vibe. Will definitely book again on our next visit to Lincoln. Thank you for your hospitality.
