Booked for mother's day online and required to pay in advance for the meal for 3. No issues with that as thought as a (perceived) quality chain there would be no issues. No restaurant location is its biggest asset, but unfortunately ruined by poor quality food. My wife's food (roast lamb) came out horrendously undercooked by anyone's standards and was more fat and gristle than meat. This meal was sent back with no alternative requested as she had now been put off eating. The manager was very apologetic and embarrassed seeing exactly what we were complaining about. It was agreed that a refund for her meal would be given, but as paid in advance (as had to for securing the booking) this couldn't be done on the day as "had to be actioned by accounts". 2 weeks later, still no refund and now not expecting one.In short, really disappointing experience. We had been looking forward to going here for a while and sadly won't be returning and could not recommend to others. Has real potential to be really good but fell woefully short.

Nice meal. Polite staff. The cocktail I had was disappointing tho. It had an extremely overpowering taste of smoke, that was very unpleasant. I couldn't taste any flavours of the actual drink itself. I didn't complain because I didn't want to embarrass my son who was treating me.

Visited a few years ago based on the food and service at the Liverpool branch and was left waiting for so long for boot leather steak that we walked out. A few years later, and after another great experience at the Liverpool branch last night, I figured I’d give Lincoln another chance. I wish I hadn’t.Firstly the entire building was shaking, which made sitting comfortably impossible, then we discovered, after ordering food and drinks, that they’re out of Coke. When they returned to see which other drinks we would like we were told they’re out of the prawns we’d ordered. All of this should have been communicated to the waiting team BEFORE allowing customers to order.Do yourself a favour and try one of the many other restaurants in Lincoln. Nowhere else can possibly be as bad as MPW.

Nice meal, friendly staff, and lovely location.

The sandwiches were extremely dry and hard, like they had been left out for hours.

Tables are far too close together, we could hear everything the 4 on next table were saying so not ideal for an anniversary meal together felt like we were sitting with strangers. Put a dampener on our experience and special

Nice decor and lovely location just often feels a little too isolated and 'quiet' Food is overpriced we went for the 50% off deal for January whilst the lamb was delicious it wasn't £24 delicious which full price it would have been. Previous we had had the steaks on the January deal so was really looking forward to them only to be told this time the deal excluded them. My other half settled for a burger which was OK. Just came away feeling very underwhelmed.

Looking at other reviews, I am almost certain that this won't go anywhere but at the very least I can warn others as I cannot stress this enough.. Don't go. This was a complaint that I sent to there email as advertised ([email protected]) to no reply: On December 5th, my colleagues and I visited Marco Pierre White's Steak House for our work Christmas dinner. Being responsible for organizing the evening, I was committed to ensuring a delightful experience for everyone. After considering various options, I chose your restaurant because of the appealing Festive Menu and the enticing offer of a complimentary cocktail when booked before a specific date, as prominently advertised on your website. I made the reservation in October. Needless to say, the staff claimed that they knew nothing of the advertisement and denied us a complimentary cocktail. I was made to feel as though I was lying. This theme of the staff not knowing what was going on carried through the evening. On the morning of the event, I called to confirm the numbers and menu selections, specifically the Festive Menu, which Becky (the lady I spoke with) confirmed as all set. However, upon our arrival with my 17 colleagues, we were informed that there was no festive menu available due to an unexpected change in the food delivery. Dawn mentioned that she had tried to inform me of this over the phone, but to my surprise, I had not received any missed calls, and this crucial information could have been communicated during our morning conversation to which I could have made alternative arrangements. To add to the frustration, the party was split into two tables dividing the conversation which was completely unnecessary. The people that had the streak were disappointed given that it was tough and overcooked. For a restaurant with steak in its name you should expect them to at least that well. What you get is an old boot with a £30 price tag. This place needs an overhaul of management and kitchen staff, but ultimately its Marco who's name is on the sign - I'm sure he's a man of high standards and this place is far from it! Do something about it.
