I've ate stayed here 4/5 times for work and it gets worse and worse. The hotel are great and the staff are great. The restaurant is poor. Understaffed, waited 10min the bar to be served. My starter turned up wrong. Then wasn't given cutlery to eat. My main turned up with the steak well done when asked for rare. The staff could not care less.

Adequate all round but not worth a diversion let alone an expedition.

Stayed in the Premier Inn at the side, and had breakfast here in the morning. Really enjoyed our buffet breakfasts, plenty on offer and not too busy.

Pleasant surroundings and staff but service was very slow considering how quiet it was. My friend and I had their lunchtime special menu which was good value, but unfortunately his sirloin steak was quite tough and he only managed to eat approximately half of it. Told the waitress, but other than a brief, automatic apology no further action taken.

Had a lovely meal with friends. First visit for Sunday roast and found it lovely. Disappointing that the half chicken was unavailable but the turkey substitute was still lovely, as was the lamb and beef options.Restaurant was quite chilly at first but then the fire was turned on and was much nicer.Service from Suzie C was fantastic; really friendly, attentive and helpful, thank you for making our visit even better.

Good place to visit for food. Not happy they close at 10pm Saturday evening.

Used to enjoy coming here but the food this evening was average at best. Calamari was fried for so long it was the colour of treacle and tasted like pork scratching. Steak for £19 was shockingly bad, dry and thin. Pies were clearly pre packed or frozen, you get about 8 chips with the main meals. It’s really gone down the nick! Service couldn’t be faulted, so I can’t complain about the waiting staff but the kitchen staff and food buyers need a rocket up their arses. Won’t bother again!

The welcome was great, young lady directed us to our seat and immediately asked what we would like to drink. We ordered our meal which came very quickly, we ordered steak and on the menu it states 'all our steaks come with a half tomato and mushrooms' this was not the case for one of us! We ordered surf and turf, one sirloin steak, fatty and very salty, 2 small prawns and calamari which had been deep fried beyond all recognition and very rubbery! The chips, triple cooked, were nice and a sauce was put on the side of the plate which was totally unnecessary, it was so spicy hot that it defied one to taste the rest of the meal! The meal itself was cold, maybe the sauce was presented to deflect that!Such a disappointment!
