Came at lunchtime today to find the restaurant quite quiet, but the young, scruffily dressed 'manager' wanted to sit us next to another occupied table - I refused as there was so many empty tables, and when I asked if we could sit next to the window, I was told, 'No, as I've only got two waiting staff on today and want that kept empty.' This was obviously a lie as 20 minutes later he was having a meeting/interview with someone else! Anyway, the carver was pleasant and had personality. There was plenty of food, which was tasty too, including 2 lots of roast potatoes - 1 for veggies and another pot cooked in beef dripping.

We have been to this Toby Carvery a few times now and this one is definitly the last. The food was cold even though we saw them bring it out fresh, when we mentioned this, we were just told sorry. We went on Good Friday and it was almost empty, which we found surprising, now we know why. We paid over £70 for 4 carverys and drinks and it really wasnt worth it at all, all 4 of us left nearly all of our food. We won't be using it again.

Went for breakfast. Took ages to be served as no staff on the floor. Food OK but lacked choice. Stairs and toilets needed a good clean and some maintenance.

Very efficient service. Good quality food.Car parking not good, but nothing you can do about that.Parking: Few spaces at front of building. £3.50 for 2 hours. Few disabled spaces but charged just the same.

Called in for breakfast with my wife and I wish I didn’t.Food was dry and cold there was no atmosphere.Staff looked like they didn’t want to be at work and the place could do with a good clean the amount of dust on the wooden ledges.

Very nice place. Lovely staff. Standard buffet type food. Mostly over cooked over left under lamps too long. Potatoes very disappointing. I'll keep going back because of price and fab staff.

The selection of vegetables and meat at the carvery was excellent, well cooked and tasty. The service was very good and the servers were attentive. Very nice ambience. This was our first time here but I think we will be back.

I ordered a takeaway to be delivered it was chewy and over cooked and also had lots of stuffing on which I specifically did not request . This is not the first time it has been like this so I complained . They responded by asking for my phone number then never got in touch . Will not be using or recommending this toby to anyone
