We found this pub, as we were holidaying in the area, and it was a Thursday Burger and Pint night. Massive portions and cooked beautifully. The salad dressing was to die for and I wish I had asked for the details. So if the chef is reading this please let me know. [email protected]

Arrived on time and ordered a drink, no problems. Sat down in the ‘snug’ with our 3 dogs. Was handed the menu to be told it’s ‘Burger night’ and there is no other option other than a couple of basket meals. We decided to stay as we didn’t know where else to go at short notice(we are on holiday). The food was very well done and we couldn’t complain at that with that side of things. What was disappointing was that when we booked we was not told it was burger night only. Half way through our meals other guests were being offered another menu which had all the pub favourites on. When we questioned this we were made aware it is for OAP’s only. The portions were certainly not OAP portions so why could t they offer everyone this. The waitresses, albeit polite, didn’t seem to know who could have what menu.

Two of us called in last Wednesday Evening (21st June) to book lunch for the following day. We had an evening meal while we were there. The staff were very friendly, the pub was clean and the food was very good quality, very delicious, all homemade. We will definitely go there again when we are down that way.

Had burger and prawn sandwich here with friends today. The owner and staff were very friendly. The food was lovely and great value. Very tasty salad dressing, tasty food. Dog friendly in the bar, too. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful little country pub, went in last Saturday looking for some food, sadly wasn't serving that day. My own fault should have checked Facebook for updates. Still the staff were lovely and the beer was cold! Look forward to coming back when the kitchens open! :)

Very busy and quite noisy pub. Great service and the best roast beef we've had in a pub for a long time. Desert menu could include a bit more but all in all a good pub!

Our first visit today and definitely won't be our last! We had the senior citizens lunch ~ 2 courses for £9.95. The place was full which says it all. Yes, we had a wait for our food but its all cooked fresh and was so worth the wait. We took our 10 month old schnoodle and everyone made a fuss of him.

Unfortunately, we had to wait 40 minutes to get a menu, then a further 50 minutes before we were able to order our meals! When the meals eventually got to us, they were very tasty and hot, but very large! Other than that and appreciating that the pub was packed, everything was fine...

Booked a table for a evening meal for the 1st time here and we were not disappointed, food is excellent, good size portions all piping hot, All staff friendly and professional very welcoming. Nice relaxing atmosphere and a good choice of beer at a reasonable price. Will visit again. Do yourself a favour and give it a try. Ed

We went for a Sunday meal with children and grandparents so in total, 8 of us. The food was brilliant and they provided more than enough meat and vegetables without scrimping. The children's meals was only £3.00 each and they certainly were not small. The service was friendly and polite and the atmosphere was great. If I am being totally honest the appearance does not match the service and great value for money. Don't judge a book and all that......Thank you for a lovely Sunday meal.

First time visit. The roast beef and potatoes were top class but the veg was raw and I don’t like carrots or broccoli or cauliflower cheese and you couldn’t choose the veg. I asked for another potato but was refused. It was only a potato! So wasn’t impressed with that. Cabbage would have been good, preferably cooked or some sprouts.
