We popped in for a bite to eat on the 25th Nov, but sadly the chef was off for the evening, but don't let that put you off calling in here, the atmosphere was brilliant, proper old time boozer, staff were very friendly and welcoming, locals all took time to chat with us, the chef was off for the evening to enjoy the 3 fancy dress birthdays all being celebrated that night, well ? Lovely friendly village pub , great food large portions, we all had different dishes and all enjoyed them. Tash behind the bar was great and made us very welcome Thankyou for a great evening

My husband and I who are visitors to the area had wonderful meals. Both meals under £10 and my husband said it was the best beef steak & ale pie he has ever had!!!!! Big portions and homemade. The locals are a friendly bunch too. Our dog was also welcome…. there’s dog treats and water available! This is a real old traditional pub that deserves a high rating!
