We had rib eye and fillet steaks and they were both delicious. Locally farmed beef and well cooked. Home made chips makes a fabulous addition to a great meal!

Best steak for ages. Good beers and certainly worth a revisit. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered the pub.

This place is a hidden gem, definitely worth a visit. It's owned by a family and has been for a long time, a fantastic pub and what we could do with more of. I had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection and was incredibly tasty local near, exactly the recipe for a good quality steak. The food is cooked fresh to order and the chips are out of this world, I'm a big fan of good chips and can't stand the frozen mass produced kind you unfortunately get at places like Mablethorpe these days. Overall I would definitely recommend visiting and if you're anywhere nearby this is worth the detour. I'll definitely be back.

We came with visiting friends for dinner tonight and our food was wonderful. We had a pork loin, a steak and two ratatouille tarts. Heaven. The portions were a good size, the food tasty and hot and service excellent. It's a proper old style country pub with no loud music or blaring TV's so we could enjoy the atmosphere and have a conversation which is quite a rarity these days. Ken, Jason and the rest of the staff made us very welcome and it's certainly somewhere we will revisit.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal here. Staff were very lovely and amenable. We had gammon, home made BROWN chips with salad to garnish and garden peas. Sirloin steal with chips and salad too. Beautiful meal. Lovely place and glad to see it come through the covid war 2020!

We drove passed this pub earlier in the day & wouldn’t have returned if we’d not read the reviews on TA as it was unremarkable from the outside. The landlord Ken and chef son Jason were the perfect hosts. The locals in the bar were similarly welcoming to us & our Labrador. We choose steaks as we’d read they were good & we weren’t disappointed. Unfortunately we had to sit in a side room which is where dogs & their owners eat & if it hadn’t been for the chatty hospitable staff we’d have felt a bit left out of the pub atmosphere. We were told that it would have been ok to sit in the bar with the dog if we’d not been eating. The pub is a traditional coaching pub & hasn’t been spoilt with loud music & TV screens. But our memory will be of the welcome all round, including the chef who was as affable as his dad!

A Saturday evening visit for a family birthday dinner. Food was excellent, 3 of us ordered fillet steak and all were cooked to perfection. Our other diner ordered baked haddock and was just as impressed. Real, home cooked chips and new potatoes and seasonal vegetables were our choices. Portion sizes were good, food was hot, service was quick even though the place was full and prices are very reasonable for the quality. This is a small country pub type venue with a total of about 25 diners and there is a small bar. The sign outside said fully booked so I expect for a Friday or Saturday evening bookings are probably essential. Will definitely be going back again in future.

Visited The Bull Inn last night in South Kelsey Lincolnshire. 6 of us in total and not one bad meal. Food was delicious and real home cooked chips. Highly recommend the steak. Cooked exactly as you ask for it. Definitely one to go back to.

Fantastic dinner. No complaints. Fabulous staff. Thank you to Debbie and Ken who looked after us front of house, and to Jason and Shelia for cooking the most excellent food! We were a large party (12) which is never easy! But everything was brilliant. Big portions too! Great selection behind the bar for drinks. One child in our party was able to speak to the chef about what was available for her and she loved her dinner. Dogs are welcome in the “lounge” area so we brought our dogs in for the last few drinks of the evening. I had deep fried Brie and steak for my choices. Both were excellent. Several of us ordered steaks and there was a small confusion over who’s was who’s, but it was easily sorted and everyone was happy. We hope to come again before the end of our holiday! Thank you so much for all the care and attention you gave us!
