A wonderful find! Great selection and well cooked. We will return!Parking: Parking at the front of the pub, even ground easy to find.Kid-friendliness: Children well catered for, with a play area outside and their own menu.Wheelchair accessibility: All the floors are the same level, no steps. Doorways are generously sized.

Attended 'The Crown,' yesterday for an afternoon roast, which is sold in 2 sizes, the smaller being £12.95 and the larger £15.95. I ordered the larger roast beef, which comprised of the following.2 slices of chewy beef1 cinder Yorkshire pudding3 gnarled roast potatoes1 stuffing ball, hard on one side/soft on the other.Dollop of indeterminate veg, which appeared to have started its day as cabbage/red cabbage of some description.Gravy boat of "ah Bisto..."Usual accompaniments such as cauliflower cheese are purchased separately, £3.95 for a small ramekins offering.Feedback was given when asked, including during check back & then whilst paying the bill, only to be met with, "we've had others in tonight & they thought it was ok."I appreciate that feedback will not always be what you want to hear, it may go against your own opinion, however it should not be ignored nor just brushed to one side to avoid your embarrassment. The cons-Food was poor, at £15.95 they ought be doing better. As well as the other faults listed, the plates were only half full.Side orders- is there really any need to be up-selling such an item, which many/most include?Ambience- football showing on TV across the pub, which may but be to your taste, should you have a view from your seat.Pros-Car parking for ample vehicles. The servers were friendly, if under trained on handling the issues encountered. The damage-Circa £105 for 4 adults roast- 2 kids dishes & some drinks. The verdict-For most, this will be a drive to pub, based on it's location. All things considered the offering was of a low quality with much room for improvement. Some low hanging fruit fixes, would elevate this establishment into the average.I was not expecting high end, but a good solid offering, which disappointingly I did not find. From my time in the pub I got the impression that there is a strong local following, which I applaud. There appeared to be familiarity between staff and punters. Retaining old customers is one thing, attracting new is quite another. If you're looking for a spit & sawdust pub, this may be the pub for you. Its a bit rough around it's edges but maintains some old pub charm. If you're looking for decent food, I'd give this place a swerve. I would not go out of my way to travel to this pub again.

We went for an unplanned lunch on a Thursday. Met with a friendly, warm welcome and had the pick of the tables as there were no others dining when we were there. This, I presume, is why others rate the atmosphere more highly than I do. There’s a good range of pub food and both of us were very happy with our choices (beef bourguignon and sesame chicken strips). The only real negative is that I feel the decor is tired and dated throughout but this may not be so obvious when the place is full.

Went to the crown in Glentham on a recommendation from a friend. What a lovely village pub it is. Staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and it had a great atmosphere. Roaring wood fire and some comfy chairs to relax is a really nice touch. Would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again.
