AVOID THIS PUB AND THE WHITE SWANThe mangaer is abusive to customers and throws drinks and glasses at her customers. (She also the manager of the swan) The staff are unfriendly and not welcoming at all, as well as not getting orders correct. When the staff have to poor you a drink they sigh like its a problem for them. The staff also vape inside the building, and I found that very gross as a non-smokerWhen the staff smoke a cigarette they sit in the entrance and exit and get annoyed when they have to move for customers.

The George is now under new competent and professional management. The refurbishment of the inside is nearly finished and makes the pub very welcoming. I will add new photos to this review when I have a chance. Probably in Mid-march. The carling is very well kept.

Not what I expected when we walked in, in a small market village. Staff we friendly but one spent alot of time on mobile phone. There was a local guy in, very loud used bad language. Smoking weed in the back. The bartender told him to go out, which he did and the bartender sprayed airfreshner. The guy then returned a little while later with some mates in side and were throwing paper towels around and being very loud. He did apologise to my husband for being like a child but we left as soon after. We will never go there again

Very helpful an courteous barstaff. Excellent Sport screens and no problem accommodating my request to watch some rugby on one of the screens when other sports were being shown. Thank you.

The bar staff are lovely the place is an ok place to go but the reason for the 1 star is due to having a lot of issues there I do not recommend

Would give 0 if possible simply from the unpleasant greeting. No friendly welcome here just "Put your masks on" said very aggressively even though one of our party was wearing a mask and the other was clearly in the process of putting it on. After that, we walked past to the garden, no welcome, not even a smile. We nearly sat down then thought how friendly every pub has been since we arrived for our holiday in the wolds and agreed we should not spend our money in a bar where customers are treated with hostility. Found a lovely bar around the corner, ate a delicious meal and enjoyed the friendly, welcoming service.
