Lovely pub and dog friendly. A welcome retreat on a cold day after a long dog walk. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a great menu

This is a fantastic little pub and the history of it is so interesting. The food we expected to be good, being a home cooked restaurant. It did, however excel in all ways. The food was delicious and plentiful and the landlady was a font of knowledge about the history of the place, which was just up our street.

We ate here twice within a few days as we we’re staying in the village and both times had great service and really good food. There was 5 adults a toddler and a dog. The service was friendly and not rushed, food really delicious and lots of choice. It was really busy on New years day however this didn’t affect anything and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!!

The food was a reasonable price and tasted incredible. Lovely homemade food which is refreshing as most places don't. Nice atmosphere. Staff friendly. Will definitely be back!

Very nice traditional pub in a very nice village. We found the service to be friendly and prompt. The menu is good and plenty of of dishes that I could’ve chosen. I tried the hunters chicken which was a mistake because the chicken was very dry and chewy. The barbecue sauce was Extremely sickly and sweet. I would return but would be very careful about what I chose from the menu. The microwave is obviously used a lot.

A party of us went here last Christmas and we all enjoyed our meal. Sadly this year the food was very disappointing. Also we were all cold which made it very uncomfortable. We drove quite a long way for this meal but won’t be going back in the near future.

We had been before and had been underwhelmed but put it down to covid rules. Went today for a birthday meal and had the Hunters chicken. Worst one I've ever had. Thick slices of leftover chicken covered in barbecue sauce and then obviously microwaved. Totally inedible. They obviously don't like people complaining but from the reviews I've read they should be used to it. Didn't stay for dessert. Totally spoiled birthday.

Stopped in for Sunday lunch whilst staying in Tealby for a long weekend. The best Sunday roast we've had in a long time. Great portion sizes, nicely cooked veggies, lovely presentation. The biscoffi cheesecake was out of this world. Very pleasant staff and good value. Would certainly recommend ?

Nice pub, ordered drinks at the bar and the bartender was chatting to a customer on the phone and there was a large group of people behind us, had Sunday lunch which was ok, 2 thin small slices of beef, greens was hardly cooked at all the broccoli was not edible the puddings though were fab. No child menu offered but after we had been served the next table were given one. The servers were lovely but check your bill at the end as ours was incorrect.

We visited the kings Head on a Saturday night with our dog who was welcomed in the bar. Food was served this side too. There was a great atmosphere and the staff were helpful and friendly and the food superb. I’m a vegan and there were at least 3 options available. I chose the moving mountains burger and it came with the best onion ring I have ever seen and tasted!

Staying in Tealby for a short break and this lovely pub was within easy walking distance. Both staff and food were great, so much so that we went back the next evening.

Had a really nice lunch at the kings head with our 3 dogs , we were made to feel very welcome, the staff went above and beyond, we had cheesecake which we both agreed were the best we have ever tasted (but be aware the portions are huge) overall a 5* experience thanks

Visited this pub for good tea time food. It didn't disappoint, it was good pub grub, good service, reasonably priced, and food was hot not just warm. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend it.Parking: Easy, free and plenty spaces.
