Really lovely home cooked fresh food. The home made chips are to die for!My wife and I often go in for a lunch time snack and a couple of beers, we can really recommend the garlic mushrooms, with of course the chips!

Can recommend this varied menu. The Bang Bang Cauliflower was delicious as was the Scotch Egg. Main course of Tuna was perfectly cooked also the mushroom stroganoff. As usual excellent service and friendly staff.

A big thank you to all the staff at the Bird in the Barley, they provided a super afternoon buffet for a group of 13 for a celebration of life. Organisation with the staff was easy, the food was of a high quality and plentiful, staff were friendly and attentive without it being too much. They dealt with additional allergy needs with ease and provided generous sized gluten free platter and dessert platter. We had a private area in the conservatory and had plenty of room to eat and reminisce, which was perfect way to end our day.

Went here with friends who use it regularly. Our first time. Had starter and main from teatime menu and it was beautiful. Everything was cooked to perfection. Recommend the pigs liver in onion and red wine gravy, it was delish. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. No waiting around for drinks ir food and all the staff were friendly and very efficient. We will be back
Absolutely terrible , I would wholeheartedly recommend going somewhere else , booked here for 1:30 Sunday lunch , only got 1 choice of meat for the Sunday roast and they only offer 5 choices of main. Informed when we arrived they have sold out of pie so now that's 4 choices. and we thought well okay no problem we came for a roast dinner anyway. But when we went to order we have been told they have sold out of beef now so can't do the roast. It's 1:30 pm? you serve Sunday menu all day? What an absolute disgrace. Will never be returning here in my entire life and will make sure everyone I know avoids this place as well.I hope this review wards enough people off this because imagine showing up for your lovely family meal and being told it's all sold out.Response :Then I suggest you look into your stock analyst as there is a serious failing going on if you cannot determine that on a Sunday , people would want your Sunday roast , out of the 5 main meal options, that left only 3 choices for the rest of the day from 1:30 pm.

We had a lovely meal served by friendly staff in a fab atmosphere, thank you Bird in the Barley xxParking: Quite a few parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: A bit difficult to get in as there is a small threshold to get through the door but once in it is wheelchair friendly

Staff extremely rude on multiple occasions and made us feel bad for not ordering starters and deserts?! Some of the food was not very appetising and the portions are small. The whole place could do with a good clean and a lick of paint. Wouldn’t be returning.
