Just visited the Mayfair for our daughters birthday, with family & friends. Superb staff, superb food and reasonable too. We will definitely be returning. When asked if it was a birthday, I didn't think much of it, but the table was decorated and there were balloons too. They even brought a birthday cake out!

Dansak very bland, had this weird taste to it. Usually get this curry from other shops and this one was so different and tasteless.. strange if I'm honest and maybe a korma would have been better. Peshwari naan very very good tho one of the best I've tried. Overall decent but definitely stay clear of the dansak lol

I think I may have been spoiled for Indian takeaways having lived in london for some time where there is so much competition they either are good or they die. So thought that place must be good as it's right next door to another indian (which I ordered from two weeks previously).Why was it so bad? Everything was just so sweet. The dhansak wasn't hot or sour just sweet like syrup. Everything seemed to have the texture of tinned soup which was weird and after her prawn dhansak my mother was on the toilet for two days (possibly unrelated??). My 6yo loved it, which is sort of the problem what's good for his palate isnt really good for mine. I guess it's indian food for the Macdonald's generation. I wont be returning!I should say though that since I ordered about £50 worth of food they gave me two free chicken samosas which were excellent!

Ordered from here twice whilst staying at Nuddock Wood lodges the food is absolutely lovely & fast delivery. Best curry we've had in a long time. Thank you ?

Visited with my wife on Wednesday 4 May. Started with Onion Bhaji and Meat Samosas. The onion bhajis came as four small balls quite tightly compacted; the taste was just about ok but the portion size was inadequate (I do realise different restaurants present the same dish differently). The meat samosas were filled with a meat paste rather than finely minced meat; not pleasant at all. For the main course we had Lamb Saag and Lamb Pathia. I like Pathia done with a tomato base rather than an onion base and I asked if they could do this....they said yes. Hmmm...the pathia came with an onion base with extra slices of tomato. The lamb in both curries was probably mutton rather than lamb. My pathia contained a big lump of fat. Both curries were bland....my pathia had no hotness to it, it ought to be similar to a madras in hotness. The service was good but the food was disappointing. We will stick to our usual Indian restaurant in Ashby.
We've used this before and been happy with it, but this time we had a mistake in our order, 4 of the dishes were in the same sauce (!) and I got my credit card scammed. Disappointing.

We've eaten here twice and it's brilliant, it's not even the one closest to us but we will keep coming back. I had chicken shashlik with onion bhaji and chapati! All very good!
