Sandwich Shops in Sleaford

“A solid 4/5 for a meal that came upon us very unexpectedly. LOCATION - unfamiliar with the area myself, the best information I can give is that it’s opposite El Toro (Tapas) on the N Gate one-way route, heading south through the town centre of Sleaford. DECOR - inside it was classic Italian, both in layout and design. Small tables, dark wood furniture and hard tiled flooring - all very characteristic of what you would expect from a rustic Mediterranean business. A curved bar took centre stage, with the Kitchen situated to the rear of the building. STAFF - a polite waiter and waitress serving us throughout the meal. Unfortunately, not enough staff were in to deal with the high numbers. We waited a while (just for our drinks) - the table next to us ended up walking out. Can only put it down to absentees or underestimating the number of walk-ins. MEAL - faultless in most parts. I ordered Breaded Whitebait as a starter - lovely, with a cracking Garlic Dip. I opted for the Connection Pizza for my main course. The base was perfectly cooked and it tasted great - only one bit of criticism, for the amount of ingredients shown on the menu I felt that the Pizza could have been more generous. Both courses washed down with a House Beer, which definitely hit the spot. COST - all in, I think it cost us £24.00 each (including a tip). For a two-course sit in meal with an alcoholic drink, I don’t think that was too bad. Good value for money. Not our first choice but circumstances brought us here. Overall, i’m glad we stumbled upon this quaint little Italian restaurant. A decent bit of scran!”

“Top marks for the stressed one person running this on the day! Should pay her double, I would have helped her if I could, shame on her management.”
