Wonderful place. The staff are friendly and efficient. I asked for extras bacon to go with my poached eggs on toast and the order was taken,at the table, on an iPad linked to the kitchen so there was no delay or confusion with it. Prompt service. I recommend this place whole heartedly.

Came for a bottomless brunch for a friend's 30th birthday. The staff at Watergate were friendly and attentive, certainly kept the bottomless drinks coming during our 2 hour slot. Food was delicious and presented well. Always a great atmosphere at watergate whether its quiet or jam packed. I'd recommend the bottomless brunch for a group who want to have a chilled couple of hours and enjoy the surroundings.

One week ago today, 30 fellow classmates and teachers met for our annual KSHSG reunion.Under the new ownership, the recent improvements were noticeable and we appreciated all the effort and care that went into making our reunion extra special.The room looked fabulous and provided just the right ambience and opportunities for mixing and mingling. Thirty meals came out at the allotted time thanks to an army of chefs beavering away in the kitchen. The meals were efficiently served to the correct person ensuring the delicious food was piping hot.Everyone had a wonderful time and plans are already in place for our 2025 reunion.Thank you Vicky and the team for an excellent first class service

We both had 3 courses and drinks, and the bill still came to under £50 so very impressed with that. Highly recommend.

The food is just amazing and you honestly can’t fault the layout of the tables, the food or the service however, the price is high and due to this I felt a little rushed. If I’m paying this sort of money I would like to make more of an evening of it rather than an hour and a quarter! I’d prefer to take my time and enjoy the different courses and feel that’s okay! Somehow, we didn’t, we felt rushed to give our next course even while our first course was going cold. Would highly recommend though as a birthday treat for a loved one.

It's hot this time, just warm.Partner had a kebab and complimented the portion size.My calzone was decent. Plenty filling and cheese.The delivery guy was plesent.Not our usual place to order pizza and kebabs, but we wanted to give them a shot as never tried before, not disappointed, not impressed.Would use again, yes. But no hurry.

Everybody's opinion is varied and valid and this is ours.Found Mario's on Google and so so glad we did!We find the food there excellent so far and despite only having tried their Donner Meat & Chips, we are hooked!!The gentleman who I think runs/owns it is very friendly and was amazed to find we travel 17 miles to eat from there!!All I can say from our point of view is we feel that Mario's is an excellent take away, very reasonably priced, friendly service, very clean with quick fresh cooked food that is uber tasty.....what more can you want from a take away?!!The Paprika coated Chips sways it for us also, very very tasty!!Only criticism I can think of is it's 17 miles away but as somewhere to call in at on the way home it ticks all the boxes for us.Great effort Mario's ?

Was staying with friends at Highfields Fishing Retreat in Spanby nearby. They recommended Indian Takeaway from the Bombay Brasserie behind the Pub. Had a great experience ordering the Indian and while it was being prepared had a pint with my friend in the pub. Excellent staff behind the bar, very friendly and helpful. The beer was great and locally brewed. Mild that I had was one of the best I have had. My friend had the bitter which he also enjoyed. There is a beer garden at the back and, although the pub is not maybe as salubrious as some, it is an unpretentious local, which is also dog friendly. Also had a good range of keg beers and spirits. Definitely hope to visit again.

Wow, what a truly amazing place, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads, panini, toasties etc etc. Eat in or takeaway. Proper thick cut bread, white, brown or granary, same choice in rolls. Staff are friendly and polite. We had cheese and onion toasties, served with a generous portion of salad. Amazing. The sandwiches and rolls I saw the ladies make were jam packed with the customers choice of filling, beautifully wrapped. The takeaway salad boxes were extremely full. What a truly exceptional cafe. Used The Mallards to host our Work Christmas Meal. A small place who dealt excellently with a group of 21 people. The service was prompt yet extremely welcoming. The food was exceptionally good with minimum wait time between meals and was served in a way that really brought that homely Christmas feel to the table.
