“Fabulous food and always service with a smile. Lovely friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Not hurried or harassed for order. Waiting time for food to be served is spot on, especially as it’s all cooked fresh. Highly recommend a visit as food is high quality and delicious.”

“What a fantastic meal hot freshly cooked roast honey glazed gammon slices were about 10mm thick X2 roast pork not quite as thick hardly any fat to cut off X2 nice veg all fresh potatoes could have been boiled an little longer before roasting but everything was eaten and enjoyed will definitely go ”

“We were a family group of 3 couples - and stayed for 2 nights at the Woodlands Hotel. The stand-out things about Woodlands were the warmth of their welcome, the super-accommodating staff who couldn't do enough for us, and the quality of their catering. Our rooms had everything we needed: kettle, tea & coffee, TV, hot showers, toiletries, WiFi, hairdryer, and adequate sockets for phone charging. (Extra towels, pillows etc were available on request). The beds were comfy, and the blinds/curtains kept the rooms dark until morning. We were not disturbed by traffic noise. Breakfast was splendid and plentiful. Though evening meals were not cooked on site, they could have been brought in for us from our choice of local restaurant on a comprehensive list. The hotel bar was small and cosy, and we were all able to order the drinks we wanted, and could relax in comfort. We had a very happy stay here. ?”

“What a Great pub, the landlord, landlady and staff very friendly. The 3 beers which are brewed on site were very good. The food, all home cooked was delicious and plentyful. A lovely welcome by everyone in the pub. We were staying on the small 5cl caravan site which is part of the Inn. We will be returning.”

“Food is absolutely delicious!!!Proper home made, proper flavoursome food, my critique of the place is sadly service, whilst friendly, it was rather slow, both to seat us in the first place and again to take our order, I ended up asking if I order at the bar.Thankfully, though, all was saved when I tasted my first mouthful!!My wife had the beef stew, with horseradish mash potato. I had their homemade chilli con carne ? although I did try both dishes, and they were a taste sensation!!Also, in terms of atmosphere, they had what I can only describe as "hold music" much like when you're on a call to a service centre / call centre, that was a bit painful after a while.2 minor details though, for a taste bud-gasm go eat here!!Parking: Parking has a huge car park opposite, I think for about 3 hours I paid a quid”
