I found this place using an app that counts calories from a photo. The calamari fit my remaining calories and provided enough protein while tasting good. The service was efficient and the room felt relaxed.

Gurkha Oven

Had a fantastic experience at Gurkha Oven. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the presentation was spot on.

The staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive, and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the service.

Would definitely recommend Gurkha Oven to anyone looking for great food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Eastern Delight

Very good service. Delivery was quick and the food tasted better than other takeaways around the area. Unfortunately, they missed the sauce off the chicken tenders but, after a call, they quickly refunded for the missing sauce and were very apologetic. I'd happily recommend to friends and family.

Caffè Nero

My wife and I went on 14/05/25 to Caffe Nero. The hard-working staff was friendly and welcoming. I ordered 2 Cortados and 2 Almond Croissants. The Cortados were made to perfection. The coffee was excellent. And the Almond Croissants were superb. Just the right amount of moisture. Just perfect. So tasty. We will certainly return. Thanks to everyone involved for your hard work and the smiles.

Turkish Best Kebab

I have always had great food and service from here. I also want to add the delivery drivers are always so friendly. We had one tonight who delivers most times to our address called Domenico (Italy name) I believe his name was. Lovely man. You should be very proud.

Honestly can’t say this enough but Spice Express are just the best around. As soon as you go inside they are so welcoming and happy to sort anything for you.

The food is amazing and we always introduce our friends and family to this because they are just the best.

They have everything you need in the menu and I’ve tried every place around holbeach and surrounding areas and spice express is always on top.

Sam and Q always smiling in there and have been there for a long time showing they are only trying to grow more and more.

Don’t try anywhere else other than here. Best food and people around.

We went yesterday I had large cod and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce, my wife had fish cake and chips with mushy peas, I had a coffee my wife had a small Pepsi max come to £29, food was nice, chips were great, the cod was watery, mush peas were nice. My wife said chips were nice and the fish cake was ok. Reasonably priced to sit in a restaurant to eat. If I was in the area I’d probably try a different chippy.

Went into shop to order pizzas to be delivered at our Camping & caravan site later in the evening. Lovely helpful people, excellent on time friendly delivery and our pizzas were delicious and still hot on delivery ? many thanks ?

Just had a large Donnor with separate salad, my wife and I always share one as to big to eat one each.. I have to say it was absolutely banging, lovely crispy white and red cabbage with sweet raw onions and a flat bread filled with succulent donnor meat, chili sauce a bit to fierce for me but the wife loves it. Well done team, thought you deserved a mention to a job well done.

When we go in they are always so friendly and welcome and orders don’t take long. The delivery drives are friendly too. This is our go to take away place.

Absolutely beautiful food. Never any issues with our food and amendments. Mary at the front is absolutely fantastic, couldn't ask for a more accommodating front of house - so welcoming and so personable. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Holbeach for a Chinese.

UK Pizza

Has it recently changed management? We have always ordered from here and it’s been good but tonight’s pizza was exceptional, hot, lots of topping and crispy crust could not fault it, plus they have gone back to the film top herb dip rather than handmade pot, so much better

Bennys Diner Long Sutton Limited

Was heading to Cromer from Nottingham, had gotten about half way and realised it was lunch time and I needed a toilet stop. Pulled in where I usually stop but drove past the petrol station when I realised there was as cafe at the bottom of not seem before called Benny's. I was welcomed nicely and asked about the loo. Put in an order for a bacon sandwich, which I could smell. It was huge, a great big doorstep of a sandwich with plenty of well done bacon. I had it to go as I need to get back in with my journey. I forgot to photograph it, which is a shame. Took me ages to eat but it was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Crystal Inn

Absolutely wonderful food and service. I cannot say enough good things about this spot. We loved the atmosphere (chill and fun). Th food though ?. We hadn’t been before so we tried a lot! We had the dim sum platter (soup dumplings were a knock out), two soups, the house curry, Singapore vermicelli and moo Shu vegetable pancakes. Everything was packed with flavor but the vermicelli and the pancakes stole the show. The staff was friendly and wonderful to chat with. 10/10 we’ll be back!

Had a great night at the Karaoke night. Great atmosphere and very welcoming.
Good sound from Karaoke, only gripe was that there was too much DJ ing in between the singing, so only got two sings each

Costa Coffee

I paid a visit today with my wife, after ordering our drink I visited the condiments counter there was no white suger, when asked the staff I was told no, when I ask could you not have told me prior to me ordering as my wife cant have brown sugar due to allergies. The lady said its not my job to inform customer's there is no suger, when I said in fact it is, I ran out to get suger from else where, whilst out my wife could hear the staff criticise me to another customer when my wife asked for the ladies name as we wished to complain, both members of staff became confrontational and rude, they didn't like that we challenged we explained the reason was allergies, to which i was told well wear a badge. At this point we were asked to leave which we did.

We have to say we will never step food in there again

My experience at Jack’s Fish Bar in Donington was very good! I absolutely loved the fish perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter and the chips were amazing, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

Made an unplanned visit last night with a few friends as a meeting we had was running late.
Was made to feel very welcome.
The bar was packed full of people having a great time.
Beer was well kept at the perfect temperature and had the pleasure of meeting Steve.

The Olde Ship Inn

We actually ate here twice in four days. On my first visit I had the steak and ale pie. The meat was very lean and tender,the pastry was excellent too. The gravy had a lovely smooth beefy feel about it which made everything work. The mash and the veg complimented it,I was in heaven. Thankyou guys.
Loved it so much on Thursday came back for Sunday lunch aswell. I had beef with two Yorkshire,cauliflower cheese and other veg. The gravy was again first class but the homemade horseradish was fantastic.
Keep it going guys your food is 1st class

Bluebell Inn

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff and really nice main courses. Let down by desserts not being homemade. Cheesecake was soggy and tasteless and sticky toffee pudding not good. If was not for this would get 5 stars

Went for breakfast this morning with the wife and grandchildren ... omg I had the full English that was so delicious the wife had a cheese omelette she absolutely loved it and the gremlins had pancakes with Nutella and bananas .. and sprinkles the food and service was amazing and to top it off bought MASSIVE slices of batternberg cake from the bakery below highly recommend this place if you go as you won't be disappointed

Went for Sunday dinner and I can highly recommend the Sunday lunch it was one of the best I've tasted.. All fresh and the choice of meats and veggies was excellent. Lovely coffee shop. Relaxed atmosphere. Food was prepared while we waited and was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Place looks clean and they served gluten free on request which was important to us.

New Kamble

This was the first time I had ordered from the New Kamble Chinese takeaway ? all I can say is I will definitely be going back again. We have been waiting for years for a good Chinese in Pinchbeck and now it has arrived. You must try it out you won't regret it. I only had to wait 20 minutes from ordering it on the phone to collection. We had the special Curry and Prawn Curry with special fried rice. It was amazing, just one thing maybe not so many onions are needed. See you again soon.

Lovely food, very reasonably priced. Atmosphere was very welcoming and was happy to have a chat with you. Made completely fresh and tasted delicious when we got back. Will definitely be going back.

The place can look a bit rough, I'd recommend investing redecorating. But don't let this put you off, the food is brilliant, made fast and very reasonably priced. Amazing fried onion burgers!!

We had ice cream here. Lots of lovely flavours.The server found it difficult to hear me over the counter and got the orders wrong.... But it was okayThe door was in an awkward place re the queue and getting in and out.It was Busy noisy day as was the flower show. Staff were run off their feet.We will try again on a quieter day!

Something Special

the food is great but unfortunately mean spirited management. I supported them and went with friends all through road closures. Was thrilled to win an afternoon tea there from a charity but lost the voucher. The charity asked on my behalf of they would provide a replacement as they wrote where the vouchers have gone and they said no. I shall no longer visit and have removed them as a recommendation on my Airbnb. Hope you are treated the same way in the future.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I have lived here for years and only just discovered this place has magnificent food! The quality is outstanding, and the value for money is second to none! We used to eat at the local Wetherspoons, but no more! The Pied Calf knocks the socks off Spoons when it comes to quality, choice, and price, and the staff are wonderful! ????? P.S. I ate my food without taking a picture, but the picture of the double burger on the menu is exactly what I got!

First time visit to this branch and the only negative was one member of staff.Initially when I approached the counter there were two members of staff behind the counter (didn't get names), a taller gentleman and a shorter person.The shorter one had no customer service skills what so ever, when I approached the counter there was no greeting, no "how can I help ", absolutely nothing, the shorter one just stood there and stared at me.I requested the first couple of items and then asked about an item that was not out, This was my first interaction with the taller gentleman. He said " just a moment" and came back and said the what I was after would be a couple of minutes. It was not a problem as I was in no hurry.As soon as it was ready it was brought out to me with professionalism and good manners.The order itself was okay normal Greggs bakes and sausage rolls. My only gripe with the food was that the vegan sausage roll was cold, but in the time they have been out, I don't think I've ever had a hot one.Over all good experience, all bar the one person behind the counter who customer service does not come naturally.

St Barnabas Hospice Charity Shop (Spalding)

Wonderful selection, always find something great in there at a decent price. Staff generally are very friendly, always love to chat with the gentleman in there. The lady with the Northern accent always seems very chatting with other customers, but I’ve always found her quite abrupt/rude with me, despite being a regular. Can barely get a ‘Hello’ from her.

Great service this morning from staff. Really nice sandwiches and freshly made salads. Loads of choice! Way nicer than the ready made stuff from the shops and better value for money too!

Jacks Fish Bar

This is probably one of the best fish and chips I have ever had it tastes so good and so filing. Portions are really big and the fish is just amazing 100% deserve 5 stars!!

Last experience wasn't so good. But today if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Food was so warm like it was just taken out of bakery. Even if they didn't had full set of steak beaks call was fast and pleasant delivery even faster than expected

The Ivy Wall - JD Wetherspoon

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon for food, 7 of us. Decent menu and prices, the food was absolutely great. The only downside was that a fair bit of the menu wasn't available but what we did have you couldn't fault. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was to. Would definitely go back and highly recommend eating there.

Subway

Went here to get something quick to eat as a celiac it can be difficult with a gluten allergy. Staff were amazing and got fresh containers of what they could. Wipes the side down before starting to make my sandwich and even offered to clean the table I was sat at.
Connor and the manageress went above and beyond. The rest of the staff was very professional, courteous and accommodating.

Morrisons Cafe

Great cafe whilst shopping or just to pop in for a break , could do with a bit more atmosphere as so big , maybe some low level table areas with soft sofas and chairs to give it more of a cafe feel ?

McDonald's Vicarage Lane

I would really like to recognise a member of staff, Alfie, as he genuinely deserves some praise and recognition.

I had a pretty difficult day when I visited McDonald’s, and Alfie’s friendliness, smile and genuinely positive attitude really brightened it for me. It was so lovely to see someone who seemed genuinely happy to be at work and happy to help customers. His kindness didn’t feel forced, he really seemed to care about making people feel comfortable and welcome.

Alfie went above and beyond what I would normally expect. He even came over partway through my meal to check that everything was okay, which honestly surprised me. I’ve visited McDonald’s countless times and I don’t think I’ve ever had a member of staff do that before. It was such a small gesture, but it made a real difference.

I really hope this review is passed on to Alfie and his management team. He deserves all the recognition and praise for his excellent customer service and positive attitude. He genuinely made a difficult day a little brighter, and he is a real credit to the team.
