Food is absolutely delicious!!!Proper home made, proper flavoursome food, my critique of the place is sadly service, whilst friendly, it was rather slow, both to seat us in the first place and again to take our order, I ended up asking if I order at the bar.Thankfully, though, all was saved when I tasted my first mouthful!!My wife had the beef stew, with horseradish mash potato. I had their homemade chilli con carne ? although I did try both dishes, and they were a taste sensation!!Also, in terms of atmosphere, they had what I can only describe as "hold music" much like when you're on a call to a service centre / call centre, that was a bit painful after a while.2 minor details though, for a taste bud-gasm go eat here!!Parking: Parking has a huge car park opposite, I think for about 3 hours I paid a quid

Went at 5:45 for a drink. Was closed early.British cuisine is the specific set of cooking traditions and practices associated with the United Kingdom, including the cuisines of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. According to food writer Colin Spencer, historically, British cuisine meant "unfussy dishes made with quality local ingredients, matched with simple sauces to accentuate flavour, rather than disguise it".[1] International recognition of British cuisine was historically limited to the full breakfast and the Christmas dinner. However, Celtic agriculture and animal breeding produced a wide variety of foodstuffs for indigenous Celts. Wine and words such as beef and mutton were brought to Britain by the Normans[2] while Anglo-Saxon England developed meat and savoury herb stewing techniques before the practice became common in Europe. The Norman conquest introduced exotic spices into Great Britain in the Middle Ages.

We popped in yesterday for some lunch and asked if there was somewhere out of the way we could sit as I needed to feed our baby, the lady who greeted us was so accommodating and lovely. She let us sit in the private dining area out of the way. The staff were all very courteous as I was feeding too. The food was really good, we had the vegan options which were all lovely. We especially enjoyed our soup, which came with warm bread! We also had the icecream from the cart which we took with us. We will definitely come back next time we are in Spalding!Dietary restrictions: Vegan

Excellent service from the team at the kitchen. Myself and my brothers travelled to surprise my mum for her 60th birthday. They were amazing having a table set for us and balloons. This is the second time we have eaten here highly recommended hot food and incredibly helpful staff nothing was a problem even helping us take photos of us.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomeWheelchair accessibility: My mum has a mobility scooter and no problems

We were staying next door at the Travelodge so called in at lunchtime. Monday to Friday they do a lunchtime deal, but not at weekends. The prices are reasonable for the food. They are a bit limited on their draft drinks, just 1 real ale, couple of largers, they cater to passing trade rather than regulars. The soft drinks on the gun are poor, thin and tasteless, and they still charge premium prices for them, you can have free refills but who would want to. I had the Chilli unfortunately like many places the tortilla crisps are just put in the bowl so they go soft, would it be too much to ask for them to come out separately. The wife had small cod and scampi, if this was small cod a large would be huge.Came out quickly and tasty.

We went to The Kitchen at Springfields and ate from the Kitchen Meal Deal Menu. 2 courses £12.99 and 3 courses £15.99. I was fully expecting small portions but Louise heard us chatting about the sausage, egg, chips and peas my husband was going to order and she said don’t worry…you get more than one sausage and he did, three in fact. The portion sizes are generous, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Louise and Keelan looked after us very well. Polite, very efficient and just nice. Thank you both

Thank you to Nicole our waitress for superb patience and excellent rapport with children. Staff like this make all the difference to someone's visit.

Sunday roast lunch was average. The cauliflower was not good enough. The gravy was very weak and watery. The service was something that needs improvement. Not great seeing staff chatting away at the coffee machine corner when you are waiting to be serve. Was going to have a dessert but left it after waiting so long for somebody to come to my table to ask if I wanted anything else

What a great experience at the kitchen today, the food was absolutely amazing and the staff were equally amazing! Nothing was too much for them! Absolutely brilliant, I had the mixed grill (would highly recommend) I don’t usually have desert but on this occasion I decided to (as if the mixed grill was not enough) the chocolate brownie with mint choc chip iced cream is a must!

We booked a table for 6 people and paid a £30 deposit. It was for a celebration lunch for family. We arrived at the time of our booking. Ordered our drinks and mains and then waited over an hour for our main meals to arrive. They still hadn’t arrived. Asked waitress where our food was and how much longer we would wait. Was told they would look into it. After 75 minutes our food finally arrived. Food was fairly cold and bland. Most of the vegetables on the Sunday roasts were too hard to eat. Items were missing from the plates. Other people sitting around us had left. Some people had sent food back. Other people were waiting almost 2 hours for any food. Manager told us we could have deserts on the house as an apology but by the time we ate and waited again a further 30 mins before any staff came anywhere near us to take our desert order it was time for us to leave to get to our prior engagement. They gave us a tiny discount when we paid to leave and did apologise by which point more people were leaving the restaurant. Would not recommend for the over priced bland and cold roast dinners and other meals. Would not go back ever again. This felt like it was not unusual to have this issue. Staff were not flustered or stressed with all the complaints. Will not be heading back.

We visited Friday afternoon just before 3pm. We ordered our drinks but decided to order our food after 3pm for the lunchtime deal. They are amazing at catering for gluten free (I was told the owner is coeliac)The onion rings and fish and chips was coming safe, there was so much on the menu I could have eaten!I was absolutely stuffed after the main but the sticky toffee pudding was also gluten free so I have to have it!The staff were friendly and polite.Dietary restrictions: Amazing for coeliacs

Perfectly average place to eat, better than the chain pubs at a similar price point.
