Managed to get a booking here for a Saturday night. As soon as we walked in the pub was very busy with both diners and drinkers. We were well looked after by the staff (Abby and Lee) and their suggestions were spot on. We couldn't fault the food, drinks, or the atmosphere. Will definitely go back when next in the area.

Decided to have a birthday meal here with my wife after reading excellent reviews about the place. We was not disappointed. The dining area was beautiful and ideally lit for an enjoyable time. The food was of a very high standard and really tasty. The waitresses were informing and funny, this will be our new place to dine out for special occasions. Keep up the good work we will be back ??

I met family here yesterday and can't recommend it highly enough. Beautiful decor throughout. The bar had a welcome roaring fire. Staff were friendly and helpful, in fact they couldn't have done more for us and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be meeting here again. Absolutely 5 * Thank you.

We are lucky to have this pub 30 seconds from our front door. In here tonight for a meal to celebrate my birthday. Time and time again, they produce superb food and tonight was no exception. Had the prawn sizzler plate and my wife the veg lasagne. Excellent food, excellent service. Thank you

We went to the Black Bull for Christmas lunch all 10 of us. The meal was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was a very relaxed afternoon. Would definitely recommend going to this pub.

What a fabulous find. My friend and I both said it’s a long time since we had enjoyed a meal that much. The food was freshly cooked and everything was home made and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and Rea was very friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and really nicely presented and as a bonus it was very good value. Definitely going back.

This is a first for me! I don't think I have ever rushed home from a meal to write a review! We enjoyed an excellent meal tonight. Great food, first-class service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It was a busy night in the restaurant but REA our server was un-flapable! She absolutely knew the menu and gave us some brilliant suggestions. (That cheese board was a triumph!). What a difference a competent and professional server can make to a dining experience. To all the staff that made the experience so enjoyable - including the kitchen heroes who must have been pushed to the limit, many thanks. I think we have found our new 'go to' for a good, well-priced meal in a relaxing atmosphere. I will certainly be spreading the word that The Black Bull will not disappoint.
