Thanks to Chris, his staff & 'the locals' for making us welcome on our Motorhome pubstopover. I had messaged prior to visiting, to ask if it was OK to park up and was welcomed, just asked to eat & drink in the pub. Chris has only recently taken over and started food, currently a very limited menu but good portions and well cooked. No facilities except toilets when open, but we are self sufficient so not an issue. Thanks, Tim Sue n Bailey ?

A really friendly welcome and a nicely prepared chicken dinner for me. I had telephoned before as I had had a variety of openclosed comments partly because of dodgy previous websites.. I need not have worried, splendid family atmosphere.

Visited today for lunch. New Landlord very welcoming, our meals were very nice, tasty, generous portions, food was hot and condiments were available. Very good value. The garden was clean and tidy and welcomed dogs. Really nice to see The Rising Sun up and running again and wish Chris and Haleigh every success. We will be back again soon, thank you.

Great pub, great beer, under new management. We stopped here for a few beers. It is now under new management and the hosts are very friendly. Selling Woodfordes beer too. Not doing food at the moment, but hope to soon. We will be back

The choice from the menu was very limited. We all decided ham egg and chips was the only alternative . The chips were not good and there was no mustard!

We went in for Sunday lunch over the bank holiday. Kris and Hayley were very inviting to both us and our young children. The Sunday carvery was amazing as well as the entertainment. We went in for lunch and stayed till closing. Great atmosphere and a breathe of fresh air to the village ? x

We were off for a few days, so popped in for lunch in-between jobs in the garden. My wife had the meat ploughman's, which she thoroughly enjoyed, while I went for the healthier option of sausage, egg, beans and chips :) . The sausages were excellent, and the homemade chips totally pukka! Chris and Hayley provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Oh, and they don't mind motorcycles...nice one guys!

Since the new management the pub atmosphere has improved considerably. Friendly couple, keen to put on social nights and activities to get people involved. Excellent Pie and a Pint on Monday night.
