One of my favourite pubs. Cozy atmosphere, nice and modern beer garden and good beers to suit, too.Pizzas are probably the best pub pizzas I've had

If you are interested in military memorabilia this is the place for you. All the walls are covered in framed pictures, caps, uniforms, drums and models. You could spend hours reading through it all. Good range of real ales and beers. Had a quick look at the menu but I have not tried the food yet. Will have to come back and try it. Update, I came back and tried the food. My compliments to the chef. I had the sweet chilli chicken and cheese panini. Could have eaten another one. Excellent value for money.

We had a very informal after wedding drink with family and friends last April. It was amazing .. the sun was out and the party feeling was in the air! We had lots and lots of Prosecco and they were fine with us having a Pork pie Wedding cake .. (lots of guests ordered food and h made great use of the bar) We both come from Military families so this was the perfect choice for us. We had the most wonderful time and the staff were fantastic x

Amazing pub with a great reputation in Wirral. Excellent selection of ales always well kept. Busiest I have seen it. I had White Rat. In very good condition they also had 5 other ales and knowing Galaghers they will ben in excellent condition as well.

Lovely traditional pub with nice food. Had gluten free pizza and my husband had a burger and I was assured everything was cleaned down so it was definitely gluten free. Lovely staff

Called in with my wife to see our friends Band play. We were purposely early, as we wanted to get something to eat. The lady behind the bar reccomended the Pizza, which we ordered along with a side of fries and onion rings. When ordering drinks my wife asked if they had diet lemonade as she is diabetic. The lady said they don't have it but suggested Tonic water. My wife is not keen on it, so declined. After a few seconds trying to solve the problem, the lady asked one of the other bar staff to check down in the cellar, as she seemed to remember seeing some down there. The other member of staff came back with a 2 litre bottle of diet lemonade. Happy Wife! When the food arrived, which wasn't a long wait. It was well presented and hot. All the food did not disappoint, and the three members of staff were very attentive, helpful and courteous throughout the eveningThe Band were playing in an covered outside beer Garden which had a retractable roof over, with heaters on the walls. It was February, so the roof was in use and the heaters were on and surprisingly, it was not as cold as we anticipated. All - in -All a great place and a most enjoyable night. - Thank you Gallaghers.Although we don't go out a lot, we have noticed that most places we visit dont have diet lemonade. ( The wife has it as a mixer usually )
