I love going to the Pound Bakery and sitting outside on the benches with my mates. I'm new to the area and have met a lot of local people sat around here. The staff are very friendly too. They are always smiling, laughing and happy to help. The food is always warm and cooked perfectly. They sell sausage rolls, bakes, paninis, sandwiches, salads, cheese on toast and breakfast rolls in the morning.

Was ripped off with the cost of my purchase at the Birkenhead precinct shop. I bought 1 × £2 sausage rolls, 2 × £1 pasties and 3 × £1.25 baguettes. I was told £8! The correct total was £7.75. She couldn't add up or charged too much deliberately I told her, but she was arrogantly adamant she was right. It's only 25p, but it's my 25p change. How many others has she short changed?? Won't be going there ever again, so they've lost a customer. Disgusting way to treat customers. Shame on that staff member.

St Werburgh Square..Don't know how they can sell so cheaply but they do and the food is very decent, Knocks Gregg's into poor second place.but it's badly let down by behind counter.staff are surly,unhelpull and seem to think customers are an inconvenience, interrupting their conversations about their nights out.

I come here to get 2 sausage rolls for a pound at lunchtime. Best place to get warm food when your skint. Its a big help for me and other people struggling with homelessness and heroin/crack problems. The food tastes alright for the price too.

I have always found this little gem good value for money. Food tasty and so cheap. The café next door is equally good and I have always experienced good service. It has very reasonable prices and is always pretty busy with many regular customers. Highly recommend this place. Amazing

I am c ompaining, about the pound bakery in Blackpool, they are rude, unhelpful, and down, right, ignorant, i asked for a plain, brown, ham, bagette, on brown, bread no we dont, do this as it is is from head office, we cant, make you up a plain brown sandwich, how stupid, is that, it came from head offce, that we cannot make up a PLAIN BAGETTE they had it there the ham, and bagette brown, i noticed, it would of taken, 2 mins, to do this but no, it came from head office, that we cannot make up sandwiches, so i am going to veto this shop and go to GREGS

Good range of pies and pastries for sale at good prices. The cafe provides meals of good quality at very reasonable prices. The speciality is the all-day big breakfast at £2.50 for 5 items, toast and a drink.
