“They really made an effort. Enjoyed my evening. I scored food a 3 I'm a good cook and Baker and am therefore very critical about what I eat as generally I could have cooked it better. I do enjoy not having to cook.”

“The food and service was great. Lovely and friendly staffWe only went in here for food. . However they have big screen sport and the TV was way too loud but was only turned up after we already ordered.. we were virtually shouting to talk above it. Football was on and the place was far from packed . A few at the bar maybe 8 or 9 watching football.. everyone else was either eating at a table or having a quiet drink.So TV really didn't need to be so loud throughout the pub. . Had we known then we wouldn't have eaten there. It wasn't so loud when we got in but was turned up while we were waiting for our meal.. anyway that said.We enjoyed the food and staff were great and other customers seemed really friendly too. . So I would definitely recommend this place ..it's not fine dining as it's a pub, we but it is very good and great value. .No complaints about anything apart from TV being too loud . When it didn't need to be. . As we could hear it fine before we ordered.I will definitely eat there again if I'm in the area but not if footballs on lol”

“Met a friend for lunch and there were only a handful of customers in there....but it was nice and clean and the young guy serving was pleasant enough.We both ordered the pie....one of us had the chicken and ham and the other one had a steak and ale pie.....and both of them were well presented and very tasty!! The meal came within a reasonable amount of time and the guy came back to check everything was ok and if we wanted anything else. He also came back after our meal and asked again if we wanted or needed anything.....which believe me.....doesn't happen everywhere else!! So overall it was a very enjoyable lunch experience!”
