We went for my husbands 50th birthday & some family live in Churchtown so we decided to meet there.First time we have been & love it is dog friendly as our Tilly is elderly and doesn’t like to be leftThank you all so much for a lovely evening!!

124a Church Rd, Freshfield, Formby, LiverpoolIf you're in Ainsdale, Formby or passing through and like indian food, you'll love this restaurant. Fresh poppadoms, chutneys, for appetising. I had the mixed kebab starter which is almost a meal in itself. For nain course I always go for jalfrezi, mixed chicken & lamb this time and I wasn't disappointed. Needless to say, there was no room for dessert. I didn't try a wine as I was driving but the list looked good and reasonable as was the cost of the meal. I'll be back!

The restaurant is really nice friendly staff
Great vibe .
My wife and 2 friends had been told about this place so decided last Sunday to pay a visit .
There is a 2 couse menu with a few options and very reasonable at £17.95 @ head
Got a couple of drinks in while the prawn crackers had arrived
For starters
I got wonton noodle soup like dave
Our wives got satay sticks and ribs
Really generous portion
Infact the soup was like a main meal
2nd course we got 2 masamam curry
And 2 pad Thai noodles
All the meals were excellent and really tasty
Great environment
Great staff
Great food
Value for money and deffo worth a visit

20 Chapel Ln, Formby, LiverpoolMy wife and I stopped here for a late lunch before driving home after staying in the area for a couple of nights. I can't remember exactly what we had but it did the job and we were able to get on our way without feeling hungry. We were able to park nearby too which was a bonus. I'd consider returning if I'm in the area again.

The Freshfield
Massam's Ln, FormbyIt was a nice experience. We went at a busy time but I can honestly say that the service and food were very good. Would definitely recommend it.
Parking: It is a paid parking lot, but people using the Freshfield can enter their car registration on entering the pub to receive free parking.

Wicks Grn, Formby, LiverpoolComing back ASAP. Most company owned pubs are awful, but this place, it is perfect. Down to earth very chilled. If your in the area get yourself down. The staff are some of the best I have met. Personal shoutout to Daniel Kayleigh and Eden. Daniel is fantastic at his job, so catering to your needs. Kayleigh was wonderful with the kids, such a little angel. And Eden, been told she has been here less than a month, but already do a cracking Job from what I can see. I hope to come in more, the place is wonderful and I see why it has such a wonderful community. Keep this place the same, its fantastic as it is.

Southport Old Rd, Formby, LiverpoolMy husband and I visited today and got a footlong chicken and bacon sub with tiger bread. This has to be the best sub I have ever tasted. This was made by Callam who was a lovely member of staff. So friendly and professional. We had a latte and husband had a tea. His colleague Tika was very pleasant too. A lovely little team who worked together well.

Three Tuns Ln, Formby, LiverpoolFive stars to Joy, a Waitrose employee, 1 star to Waitrose for not having a policy to protect staff from customer's rude behaviour.
Went to Waitrose for my shopping and was on the self checkout, the lady looking after the checkouts was helping me, her name is Joy. Joy was very nice, helpful and very patient. Suddenly this customer rudely called her and started shouting at her because she nearly tripped on a cone that was there due to a spillage. Not Joy's fault at all, Joy politely told her that the cone had to be there because it is policy when there is a spillage. The customer was so rude, asked for Joy's name and said that she was going to make a complaint about her to the manager. Joy managed the situation very professionally. I think that similarly to other places Waitrose should put a notice saying that rude behaviour towards staff will no be tolerated. I go to Waitrose frequently and see how some customers behave towards staff and think that this is very unfair. Making a person that is only there to help you a victim of a customer's ignorance should never be condoned.

The Good Catch
Montegue Mews, Formby, FreshfieldWe jumped a train from the Wirral and popped in for a lovely lunch today before a walk to the beach and I’m so glad we did. Lovely fish and chips, a light and crispy batter on the fish with chips that were fluffy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. The staff were lovely and friendly, we will definitely be back.

73 Old Mill Ln, Formby, LiverpoolWe have eaten at Bistro Moulin several times and have always been impressed by the the delicious food, excellent service and great value they provide so we’re asked them to host our Mum’s post funeral get together and what a great choice they proved to be! They completely exceeded our expectations providing a generous hot and cold buffet, every dish was beautifully prepared and everyone particularly enjoyed the lasagne. The lovely food and thoughtful, efficient service really contributed to making Mum’s funeral celebration as special as she was. Many of our guests said they would return and I would definitely recommend a visit to this charming small business.

Had breakfast yesterday ,
so nice.
Full english cooked to perfection,
flavours something else, washed down with a big pot of tea.
Here again today waiting on my lamb dinner, I cannot wait, the smell coming out of the kitchen is scrumptious, rosemary and mint flavours filling the air, my mouth is watering waiting for my next experience.
This restaurant is one big treat.

52 Brows Ln, Formby, LiverpoolAfter a drive from the midlands, we were looking for a cafe that serves breakfast and Geee’s Coffee did not disappoint. The food was incredible and I’d go as far as to say the best full English breakfast I’ve ever had.
Our 3 year old daughter also couldn’t get enough of the sausage, egg and beans on toast.
We also had a smoothie which tasted amazing.
The prices are fair and the atmosphere was super friendly and welcoming.

The food is consistently good, the team are fabulous and so friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

12 Three Tuns Ln, Formby, LiverpoolStarted using James Fish Bar recently, really enjoy the Spanish Omlete, Special Chow Mein & Special Chop Suey. Called in while passing today, bought a portion of chips only, made a chip butter for dinner at home.
The chips were really good, my only complaint is no Sunday opening, still open on Tuesday's which is good. Keep up the good work all at James Fish Bar.

Along with beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, during the day the bar offers a range of tasty snacks. The place offers a warm welcome, the staff always giving a sense that they're pleased to see you. Every Friday and most weekends, there's live music. I'd go as far as to say, the best that Formby has to offer. If that's not enough, the bar invites musicians and singers to an Open Mic session the last Thursday of each month. There are other bars in Formby, but I don't think they can match Woodwards.

4, Chapel Alley, Formby, LiverpoolLovely little place in Formby with simple small menu.ordered the quiche and it was home made with fresh tomatoes onnthat I really enjoyed, this along with the home made coleslaw and salad with dressing was a lovely little lunch. The latte tasted lovely as well .The home made scones and clotted cream and jam are delish.
