Had a banquet meal on Thursday evening. The food was excellent, very tasty and refined. Also the service was excellent as the waiter had a very good manner. Two very minor suggestions to the Management - the lighting in the restaurant is just a bit too bright, and, although the toilet was very clean, it is in need of modernisation. However, the food and service are the key factors for this review, and both were excellent.

It is often a takeaway for us from here since we moved to Formby as we have had not the opportunity to have a sit down, whether we wanted the comfort of our home or we were not dressed up enough. The takeaway crispy aromatic duck was ordered by Hayley and I must say it was tasty. It was invented by the chinese in London Chinatown in the latter half of the 20th century and is a signature dish in many Chinese restaurants in the UK. It's based on the original dish, Peking duck. The chicken sweet corn soup was a thumbs up from our lady. The prawn sesame toast was apparently not cooked as well as she liked and no Malaysian chilli sauce. I ordered the yung chow fried rice for her which was ordinary. The fried rice took me back to the times when I was a chef in China Joe in London as a teenager. Golden Bridge is probably the best chinese in Formby thanks to the owner.

We ate there as a choice of our great grandson for his 10th birthday meal. We chose tbe Wednesday all you can eat menue. The food was excellent, it was piping hot and plenty of starter choices. The choice was so much that I didn't really leave room very much of the main course. It was my first and certainly not my last visit.
Great Chinese takeaway. Have used several times. Never disappoints. Not yet had the chance to eat in.

Went for a Wednesday night buffet great choice , refreshed regularly , staff friendly and food most importantly was good. Not sure I did eat all the dishes on offer as so many and you would need to go up about 4 times to cover them all. Even offer duck and pancakes with all the trimmings . Desert and soup included . If you eat them all well done ..
