Awesome! Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Had the pan fried chicken with mushrooms on a bed if ribbon pasta. Nearly got the chilli beef salad as I know how good that one is.

What a lovely experience we had, the service was perfect and the food was great. We recommend the fried squid ? and the fish pie was outstanding. Definitely try the sponge dessert with the custard it is a perfect finish.

Absolutely amazing dining on New Years day! Wonderfully attentive staff who coped well with a wide variety of dietary requirements, excellent food and a warm, welcoming environment. We cannot fault the Sparrowhawk. Well done all!

Had the 2 course Christmas menu for 29.95. It's overpriced for the standard of food. I had the Pate which was bland. We had to ask for butter. My dad had the chowder and I had to get up and ask for a spoon. Mains came and we all had no cutlery so had to wait again for cutlery. I had the turkey dinner and the turkey was not nice. It tasted processed and not fresh. Overall service slow. Place is lovely. Would not go back

A lovely pub/ restaurant tucked away off a country lane. A nice selection of real ale at the time of my visit. Very friendly and attentive staff and the food was wonderful. I would definitely visit again.

Lovely classic English cuisine. A great dining experience and plenty of time to enjoy each course.

Really caring staff who came to our aid after getting a puncture on the way there. A member of staff helped organise a mobile tyre fitting service. Food excellent, service brilliant in a lovely setting. Made a family meal memorable.

Lovely country pub with great food and a good selection of cask ales. The staff were really friendly. Could do with some craft beers on keg too but that's a very minor observation just for my

We were staying close by for a few days and The sparrowhawk was recommended by one of the locals. We booked dinner on the Saturday evening and were so glad that we did. I rarely eat out and leave feeling that I've received exceptional value but the sparrowhawk certainly did this. The food (cauliflower fritters followed by feathered beef and a raspberry tart) was exceptional, the portions a good size. Despite it being very busy (150 can be seated at any one time) the service was warm, helpful and efficient(without being overly so). The local beer we had before the meal was also a top pint! While not the cheapest, it certainly wasn't expensive for the quality and was great value. It was clear why it was so busy and I highly recommend a meal here. PS I don't know why the beef was listed on the menu as "feathered" but it was melt in the mouth delicious!

Always amazing food, plenty to choose from. Nothings to much trouble, staff very helpful, friendly but efficient.Very clean, dog friendly.Busy nearly everytime we have been, so would advise to book in advance. You will not be disappointed.Vegetarian options: A good amount of tasty vegetarian options available.Dietary restrictions: We don't have dietary requirements, but staff always ask before taking orders.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces including disabled bays, even tho it is often extremely busy.Kid-friendliness: Great children's menu, something for every child , and accomdating if you have a fussy eater.Outside plenty of grass so children can have a little run round and play a couple of swings and a tractor for children to sit on, tables and benches, for parents to sit watching and their children.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp access into building, disabled parking bays . No steps to facilities.
