Delicious food and good atmosphere but credit has to go to Euan for really outstanding service. I work in the luxury travel industry so am fortunate to have eaten in many high end restaurants and the level of service we received from Euan this evening was equal to any 5 star hotel. Very efficient but overall such a professionally friendly attitude, thanks Euan!

Booked The Devon Doorway for a party of 15 for my mums 90th birthday. From taking the initial reservation to final drinks atvthe end of. the night the staff were wonderful. A big call out to Elliot who oversaw our table in a friendly, calm professional manner. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The food was lovely worh a great choice for all tastes. Also have to mention the excellent wheelchair access for my mum. A big thank you to Alex and the team for making our family celebration a special occasionWheelchair accessibility: Excellent access

Staying in Heswall for the weekend and decided to go for dinner at Devon Doorway. Food was delicious and service was friendly and welcoming. Although was busy, it felt intimate and quiet which is what you want for a dinner venue.

Front of house guy is spot on. Found us a table although we hadn't booked. Restaurant is gorgeous, Sunday roast waS fab, a good portion, beautifully cooked. Will definitely return. Staff really lovely.

Food was mostly pretty good.The roast potatoes were so so. Perhaps better par-boiled prior to roastingHad to as k twice for extra gravy and three times for table for water for the tableThe staff are polite and friendlyThe fish and chips were nice, although the peas were under seasoned

Had Sunday Roast was lovely and filling. Had run out of a few things as had gone later in the day. Would definitely return as want to try the breakfast. Elliott our server was excellent and very helpful.

6 of us travelled from Blackpool for a surprise birthday and a lovely evening, food was amazing and staff very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere was excellent. Beautiful place and well worth the travel to get there ?Vegetarian options: Vegetarian option was delicious
Impromptu visit as we were staying nearby & this was recommended by our hotel. Attractive pub with a great menu. Our food was absolutely excellent & served by cheerful, friendly staff despite it being very busy. Particular thanks to Fran for great, attentive service! Would definitely recommend.

Mediocre experience. There were issues but the staff were good rectified them quickly, however it still but a damper on the experience.One of the starters that arrived was wrong. Part of one of the mains was cold, when it was taken away to be reheated they just did that part so when it came back the rest of it was then cold.The service wasn’t great, had to ask for drinks multiple times and they took a long time to come.Unlikely to visit again.
