Meeting a group of retired work colleagues we had what can only be described as not the best experience we have ever had at Bistro Pierre. The wife ordered the navarin d’agneau which arrived luke warm, they happily warmed it up for her. I opted for the hake which was cooked perfectly however the samphire was like munching on privet clippings and inedible. As a group we had opted for the menu deal of two course plus a bottle of wine each, yes each! However upon receiving the bill we were told that we would have to pay extra for the wine? We are now looking for an alternative venue for our next get together.

Booked a table for Saturday 7pm. Took nearly 1 hour 30 mins for our starters to arrive. We asked for daupinoise potatoes with our mains told when they arrived there wasn't any. Instead got over boiled veg and potatoes with no seasoning whatsoever . The steaks which arrived were blue to rare rather than the medium we asked for. Asked for extra bread with our starters as an apology for the long wait. They didn't bother to bring it. They were apologetic after our meal and we didn't have to pay for our starters or the bottle of wine. All In All a bad experience . The place is a bit a of dump too needs a refurb. Avoid.

Lovely food. Drinks were a bit slow to be served. Pawn star martini was very tasty.Friendly staff.

3 of us walked in without reservation on a Sunday evening and got a table.Food was tasty and good in portion but didn’t quite hit the spot. Many dishes ran out so we were left with limited options for dinner.Service was very good, prompt and attentive, they were always on the feet.Interesting deco but was noisy from the pubs downstairs.

Went here for a small Christmas do. Cosy restaurant tucked out the way around the corner from the Cavern. Really great food, fantastic and helpful service and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again when I'm next about.

Very disappointed. We were a party of 10 for lunch being on a day trip. We had pre-ordered and paid in full including service charge.I had to wait for my main course at least 5 minutes after everyone else which resulted in some having cold food.We had told the waitress that we had to be back at our coach on Albert Dock at 3.30.We had to ask a couple of times for clearing and to order desserts.I asked for cheese board which they didn't have. So,I chose Christmas pudding. As it, eventually, came the waitress said that it should have been flamed but didn't work??It was swimming in brandy and freezing cold. The waitress said sorry the microwave wasn't working properly. Really??As an alternative I chose creme brulee and a coffee. By this time I had gone off the idea but I had paid. By the time my coffee came we were getting coats on. One of our party ordered peppermint tea which never came. The restaurant was not particularly busy and we saw 4 members of staff on duty. One to avoid if you go Liverpool

Really impressed with this establishment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food at a reasonable price, especially for town. Would go again and recommend it to others to try.

We always have a great night in here, it's one of our favourites. The restaurant is cosy with a great atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the food's great...what's not to like!!!

Me and my husband came in yesterday for the 'Lunch Rapide' which is unfortunately no longer available ?I have been coming here for the best part of 12 years after I discovered this beautiful little gem!!! The new menu is a 'Fixed Menu' which is greatly reduced in choice for the price!! So there was only one starter that would suit me and nothing on there my husband fancied!! We wanted a lunch not an 'a la carte' meal!!!Unfortunately we left and went Italian instead. Our waitress was apologetic and understood and had only been working there a short time!I will no longer recommend this place or bring family for lunch unfortunately...

My wife and myself visited here for our anniversary on 3rd September. I had the king prawn starter which was delicious as well as the fillet steak main which was as good as I have had anywhere. My wife had the lamb main which was also delicious. We were really looked after by Grace and the rest of the staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. Many thanks to them and we'll definitely return here in the future.

First time in almost 20 years we've eaten here. Unlike some of the partner Bistro X restaurants this offered a good range of courses.Visited 24/8/2023.Nice friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. Good to see that they are now part of the Tastecard scheme, making what is already excellent value even better.
