I tried to order a piece of cake and a cappuccino from this shop and when I asked could I have the cake warmed up in the microwave something I always request when I go to Costa the staff member very rudely stated "I cannot put the cake in the microwave because of cross contamination" I was shocked and amazed by how stupid she sounded as I have had this request granted many times at multiple different Costa coffee shops and there is no raw food actually being prepared at Costa everything is prepackaged and cooked before it is served in the shops all they are doing is putting things in a microwave I was a long standing Costa coffee customer but that was the final straw I will not be returning to this or any other Costa in the future

Middle aged women with glasses behind the counter didn’t have a clue what she was doing told me she couldn’t warm a pice of cake up in the microwave because of “cross contamination” when there is no raw food prepared on site everything is precooked and sent into the shop absolute

I visited this branch of Costa Coffee to kill some time whilst in Liverpool City Centre. The food and drink served was what you would expect from your average Costa - so no problems there. I ordered a pot of tea and a chocolate cornflake cake, which I enjoyed very much. On the plus side, I thought the staff here were very efficient. The staff worked through the (admittedly short) queue of customers very quickly. I also found this particular branch of Costa Coffee to be clean and well-kept. What I like about this one especially is that by being located in Metquarter, it's a little off the beaten track, meaning it tends not to get too crowded and there are almost always tables available. That said, one negative is that the inside seating capacity is quite limited and what doesn't help is that there aren't many two-seater tables. This often means that solo customers sit on tables designed for four customers, forcing other customers at busy times to sit out in the shopping centre, which I never really like. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience here. Would recommend!

Ordered a small caramel latte and it just tasted like hot water with milk, this has happened in several Costa I have visited. Would rather go to Dunkin donuts. Cheaper and much better quality coffee.

I visited on the 31/07, with my boyfriend. He got a lemonade and was received with a warm welcome however when the same blonde girl served me I felt judged and didn’t receive the same kindness.Tables were covered with trays and cups etc, whilst the blonde girl with glasses (hair in a bun) was working away, the former blonde girl was just stood there staring out the window and checking her phone as opposed to tidying up. As well as when a boy brought his tray to try and be of help, she tutted and walked back over with the tray.Overall, I didn’t feel welcome here and not sure if I’d come again.

This Costa Coffee is located at the ground floor of the MetQuarter mall. It was an easy location for my husband and I to get to because our hotel was across the street. We had great service and tried the Hot Cross Bun Cappuccino and Hot Cross Bun Hot Chocolate. We would definitely come back. It’s a nice quiet area with a good amount of seating.

We always use this costa when in the city centre but was disappointed on this visit as there was no cream for the hot chocolate and no bread for toast
