“The Childe of Hale offers a pleasant atmosphere with an accommodating on site car park. As you enter, the friendly staff and unique decor catch your attention. The place is clean, and the variety and quality of the food and drinks are commendable. My wife and I enjoyed our meal here and plan to return. A small note for visitors there's limited phone signal and no WiFi available. However, the food menu provides great value for money.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our night at the Pheasant. We were informed on arrival that they were busy and there may be a little wait on the night. Overall well worth the wait and the staff were helpful and friendly. Food was great and a really enjoyable night for all!”

“Came on a bottomless brunch with family for a hen do. Never been to a brunch which has such a wide range of drinks included - there is literally something for everyone. It was really busy as it was a Saturday night but the service was great. Staff kept coming over checking if we wanted more drinks. Food was lovely too. A decent portion of food, not the smaller portions that you get at other venues. We had a great night at the Monro and would definitely recommend.”

“Had a great Sunday lunch. Food was excellent especially the roast chicken, and potatoes. My son loved the pigs in blankets and scoffed the lot. Thanks to Kaitlyn for being so attentive with the service. We had espresso cocktails to finish, and they were excellent! Definitely be back again!”

“Can't fault it for the prices! Had steak for an evening meal, which was excellent value, together with a couple of beers from a small range of draught ales.Decided to go for breakfast two days later before catching the train home as it is served from 8.00am. Service was extremely quick & again was excellent value.”
