Fantastic fun and ambience etc but the cooked food is not as good as the Manchester one. Ok the shell fish is amazing but I was very disappointed with the pasta/spaghetti dishes on this visit. I nearly scored a 3 for the food.

Had a fabulous meal here for my partners birthday. Great service and really nice, relaxed atmosphere. We had a focaccia starter to share, very simple with olive oil, sea salt and rosemary and then a spaghetti carbonara and a seafood spaghetti for mains followed by a meringue cake with berries and quite the tastiest gelato I've ever had, a very nice Italian white wine to accompany, would definitely revisit and recommend. Also the cleanest smartest toilets I've seen, making you feel like you're on the Orient Express.

This restaurant could be great but is really let down by its (dis)organisation.The food is excellent and the waitstaff in the restaurant are friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is also tastefully decorated: I enjoyed the large impressionist artwork on the walls. The venue is loud, so bear that in mind if you are looking for somewhere quiet.The negatives of our experience were the following:- When we arrived at the time of our reservation we were told that our table wasn't ready and told to wait at the bar. This is generally fine but problematic at this restaurant given significant overcrowding of the bar and many other guests also in a similar situation to us and waiting for their tables. There was no chance of getting to the bar as suggested; we were packed in like sardines at the doorway to the venue, dodging other customers and staff, along with others in a similar situation to us, for 15 minutes or so, which was an unpleasant start to our dinner. This is not what you expect from a restaurant at this price point. It's fine for a restaurant to be running a little late, but it needs somewhere for guests to wait; this felt more like an overcrowded McDonald's near a major train station with many people waiting to be served.- At the end of the evening, we had a strange interaction with the doormen in relation to an item we had left in the front section of the venue, which had gone missing. One of the doormen was very helpful and offered to raise the matter with the manager, whereas the other doorman started concocting a story about what had happened to the item. I felt this was reflective of the broader dysfunction of the venue's setup.Sadly, I will remember the negatives more than the good work of the restaurant team.

Food was 10/10 , Steak was perfection and so was my girlfriends carbonaraStaff were very friendly and funnyAtmosphere was a bit dull but maybe it’s because it was a tuesday.All around would highly recommend!
