“Where do I begin with the compliments !!! My school friend Brain who lives in San Francisco and is in Liverpool as part of his European vacation requested a booking at your Famous restaurant. Brian and his partner Gloria , myself Rob and wife Lynne have looked forward to this high end dining for ages and it did not disappoint. Our servers and hosts Lauri and Maddi were so knowledgeable and courteous with our group and went the extra mile to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. The food and drink were exemplary and the service was polite - efficient and first class well done to Lauri and Maddi. A lovely touch by taking the time to engage with my American based friend and asked how things were going etc then a lovely gesture of presenting a plate with inscription of Welcome to Liverpool (thank you chef) Myself and Lynne look forward to returning soon to dine in your beautiful restaurant. We have dined in a fair number of top restaurants over the years in the locality and this was by far the best we have had. A credit to the staff-servers-hosts- chefs and owner- patrons for the great venue you have and we can’t wait to return some time soon Well done to all of you You have really made an impression for ourselves and American friends that we hadn’t seen for over 8 years. “So glad we finally got to try this lovely restaurant.the reviews were very good and Cargo lived up to them. Food was fabulously tasty,fresh and well presented.so difficult to find places that do seafood really well but this place does.we had the scallops and king prawns to start(bread is a must for the sauce). For mains we had seafood linguine and seafood curry (linguine was the best out of the two)… both had lots of seafood in,no skimping there.The mojito maker definitely “put his heart into it”?we will certainly return in the near future.10/10”

“Visited the golden empire this evening for my nephew’s 16th birthday what a place to eat in or take away the food was fantastic service was amazing made to feel right at home so friendly and welcoming atmosphere and surroundings was clean beautifully decorated can’t do enough for you prices are fair for the amount food you get to best Chinese restaurant in Liverpool in my book thanks to Julie and all the staff at the golden empire for a great night really enjoyed spending the time their with the family would highly recommend the golden empire to anyone either sit in or take away.Kid-friendliness: Couldn’t do enough for the kids thay loved the fish tank and all the pictures and flowers decorated around the restaurant good selection of desserts for the kids brought ice cream to the table and give the kids a choice of ice cream sauce and Lolly ice to amazing service and always with a smile ?”
