I am absolutely appalled by the customer service from the staff at this restaurant, all very rude and disrespectful. Once we got there we had a table booked and there were 3 people who arrived late which I don’t see a problem as they could’ve just seated the people who were there. When the staff approached us asking how long they will be they were walking off huffing and puffing pointing at us whilst talking about us to their other colleagues.Due to this, once we asked for the bill we got the bill physically thrown at us, which is unacceptable as the bill came to nearly £300 pound. On top of that they add a 10% service charge of £23 which we asked to take off and was questioned why ??? I definitely do not recommended this place at all do not come here !!

So we were looking out for a place to have good steak. We happen to be near this place and we just walked in. That decision was indeed right. This place serves some good tasty meal with huge portions of meat. The steak was indeed too good. The service and the ambience were good too. I will surely come back here someday.

the food was good and really well made! Although whats not allowing me to give 5 stars is the staff. I once came here with my family at around 2pm, so the restaurant was not busy at all, but we left short after because we got seated right by the entrance. We kindly asked to be moved, at least one table away. We were told ‘no’ and to leave or stay where we are because ‘theres nothing we can do’ we weren’t greeted with smile rather just a look up and down. No apologies were said either! As well as two staff were loudly talking by the entrance where everyone could hear them, nothing positive was said, just talking about their customers. Unprofessional. We left. Me and my family decided to come here the second time after 2months and nothing has changed, we weren’t greeted with a smile we felt like a burden to them. This time the restaurant was very busy, and we weren’t getting service because staff were filming TikToks! walking around and being careless. We were also asked to leave or pick what we want for food because ‘you guys have been sitting here for 10minutes and picked nothing!’. I felt being watched in this restaurant, when i stood up to go to the bathroom Immediately was stopped and asked where I am going as if I was doing something wrong. Overall I’d only recommend this restaurant for takeout or delivery, because the atmosphere and staff were rude. Thank You, Chantelle

Don't let the name Smoke and Dough fool you into thinking any of the meats are smoked - they're not, and that was a big letdown for me and my boyfriend who both like smoked meats.We went with the intention to get the bottomless grill - if the food was good. Thankfully, we weren't locked into paying the higher price until finishing our first, and only, round of meat.The service was good and the restaurant had a good atmosphere.The bread and houmous starter was nothing special, but it wasn't offensive.Unfortunately, the meats let this place down.They came out on a hot grill and looked the part, but looks doesn't fix the flavour and texture of food.The three passable things were the lamb chops, lamb burger, and chicken leg.The skewered chicken was dry but somewhat ok.The ribs had a baked flavour and texture. The sauce was ok.The worse meats were the steak and brisket.The steak was tough and not how steak should be done. It was a cheap cut, so I wasn't expecting a marvellous experience, but whoever is in charge of prepping and cooking the steaks needs to step up their game. A good steak shouldn't mean chewing for 5 minutes every time you take a bite.The brisket was an insult. Thin cut, half was the cut was fat, and there was next to no beef flavour. And not smoked. I'm glad we were only given one thin slice each because it was that disappointing.We had a side order of chips for extra cost. They were ok. Skin on but no seasoning.Price wise, the fixed price meal was alright. For almost £18 we weren't full, but we didn't want anymore.For anyone who cares about smoked meats, or just meats cooked properly, please avoid. You'll probably be just as disappointed as us.

Thus American Diner is well worth it. The meat is grilled to perfection and it didn't take long before we were served after placing our order. A great view from Liverpool One shopping centre overlooking the city ?Dietary restrictions: The meat is mostly grilled which is healthier than fried.
We visited yesterday 2 adults 2 kids we kids had two soft drinks hubby had two wines i had two single gin and lemonades bill was 120 pound which was shocking giving the quality of the food and meat the nicest part of the meal was the bread and garlic bread we had bottom less meat but didnt ask for much more as having two kids the chicken was spicy they had the lamb and the other bits the steak was worse than Weatherspoon steak i choked on it and couldnt stop coughing it was like chewing rubber and the smoked brisket ive been excited about trying i dont think had ever been in a smoker or slow cooked it was again dry and chewy as was the chicken there wasnt that many people in the resturant so shocked really it was so bad we asked for extra bread come home and had some tea which we never do after going for lunch out so over priced for what it is the only good thing about the place is the staff are friendly and attentive and the drinks are nice although extremely over priced we were disapointed we didn't stick to ben brazil meat is terrible quality cant believe we traveled to eat here food was boring at best dry and like chewing a rubber dog toy sorry ....

Good concept where you share a grill and meat was tasty.It was very busy and we had to wait a while for table then there weren't enough staff but staff were nice when you got their attention!
