Now called elixir Oxton. Booking was straight forward and you need to leave card details to protect from no shows. Nice welcome and table. Service was great and quick. Food arrived in good time and was really tasty. Cocktails and corona on tap. Will definitely be back.

Visited on Boxing Day, awful place we all thought, over priced & disorganised with possibly the worst choice of beers ever. Bar service was dreadful, the worst I have ever experienced, almost a 20 minute wait to be served with several drinks and the bar wasn't even busy when we arrived!! There are so many better places to eat & drink in Oxton, I won't go again.

Came for Sunday lunch I ordered a veggie Sunday Roast option which was pretty disappointing compared to other places. My friend chose pork and got a massive portion and enjoyed his meal which was v good value. The service staff were v friendly and likeable but could maybe do with some more training. After we finished we were on a tight schedule and asked for the bill, we were told that they had another table for 12 (?)to prepare for,who hadn't arrived at this point so he started to prep that instead of getting our bill, after 15-20 mins we had to go bar and ask to pay. To expect someone to wait that long to pay a bill that took 30s to complete was ridiculous. Not to knock the staff that were on as they were v friendly just seems like a lack of training.

My daughter in law booked a table for 6 of us.We had drove up from York for the weekend. It was tapes only which was a nice change We choose 2 courses each. 5 of us. The meals were very nice what we choose When the bill arrived the bill was more than what it was advertised on the Web site. 2 courses for 10 pound. The girl said the Web site was wrong. We said you need to get it changed. She took 5 pounds off the bill which thought was not very much as a good jesture, plus cash only as the card machine was down. Not a very good night in the end.

Family meal booked for 4.15 mothers day eventually shown to table at 5.15 then informed main meal would be at least 40 minutes so as hungry ordered nibbles then I was informed that only roast and tapas available, had heard some people had complained and left but as we were hungry decided to stay. What a mistake we eventually got our meals Yorkshire pudding /roast potatoes were like pieces of rock no doubt from the meals that people had ordered but not eaten. Vegetables looked as if they were from an asda pack of mixed vegetables tiny pieces of cauliflower /broccoli and carrots we sent 2 back and attempted to eat the others but in the end gave up, worst meal I have ever been served. Felt sorry for the youngstaff there. longs wait at bar with in experienced staff especially when making cocktails. Manager Tracey needs a course in man management and customer experience. All in all day completely ruined and I gather we were not the only ones

I always liked the courtyard for our Sunday dinners, I recommended to my son & daughter in law.Unfortunately it was awful, a party of 5 and we received our food separately, the service was so slow when we ordered drinks we ended up getting them ourselves. My sons dessert was awful as if the cream had gone off. This was a couple of week's ago now as my son was on his way back to Brize Norton down south as he is in the RAF so we were not impressed at all with the service.

Ordered the meat platter and triple cooked chips. The only thing edible was the terrine on the platter and was actually pretty good. The scotch egg was way overcooked, the egg had gone black and the meat was like rubber. The chips were perhaps reheated but definitely not triple cooked, which is supposed to be fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. These were soggy with oil on the outside and barely cooked on the inside. The lamb kofta way overcooked and dry, could barely cut it with the knife. All the food had the feel that it had been bought in or prepared a few days ago and had simply been reheated. Nothing tasted fresh.Wont be returning.

More 2.5 stars than 3. Ok price wise and portion size for the Tapas menu, though I was disappointed when the waitress scraped the plates whilst still at the table! Class establishment wouldn't let their staff do that.
