The Gold Star used to be known for it's really tasty chips.Sadly the quality of the food this afternoon was dreadful and echoes many other similar reviews as of recent. Chips were hard and many were stuck together, half of which went in the bin, Large fish was actually half the size I'd normally expect and didn't have much taste.I also found a long dark hair in the food.The Staff were however friendly, I hope this and other reviews triggers the management to review their processes and improve, especially when there is a competitor a few doors down.

Just been tonight and this was supposed to be a large portion of chips!!They were absolutely awful, just scraps and cold and they were all dried up, probably been fried a few times today, went straight in the bin! I wish I'd looked at these reviews before going, don't waste your money!!

Chips were cold and tiny and crispy albeit they told me they had fresh ones in so I waited in the car and returned 5 mins later . Got home and they were black as well , bbq sauce was like water . Staff swear behind the counter , lack of respect for customers . Definitely won’t be

My first and last time using this company Orderd food for delivery at 6.30 finally arrived at 8.45 wrong order I had called several times to complain but just fobbed off they blocked my no so I called from my wife's phone they answered straight away worst customer service I've ever had my little boy cried cos he had waited nearly 3hrs only to be dissapointed un professional shame on you what's worse is you took my money I wish I'd read the other reviews before ordering should be called bronze star chippy cos your not a gold
This is the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever ordered. I waited 2 and a half hours, I called 3 times during this wait.the first time I was told 10 minutes. The second time the lady over the phone said “oh is this (my address) again? Your foods coming I told you before” and hung up. The 3rd time I called the lady getting even angrier said “are you just trying to get extra stuff for free or what”When the delivery woman arrived 2 and a half hours late she looked at me like I’d done something wrong basically threw my food into my hands and walked off.The ribs I’d order were plain salt and pepper ribs but these were bbq that arrived unknown to me so had dripped all over my bed as I thought I’d be getting dry ribs.Then opening the chips I’m greeted with about 10 chips a far smaller portion than u can imagine.Do not order from here.

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars absolutely disgusting, I ordered a kids chips got all sharp cold scraps, battered burger was soggy and cold, other burger was burnt and cold, chop suey roll... is that what you really call it? That's a flipping spring roll a small little thin thing doused in salt, did you store it in the fridge for tomorrow's servings? It was very cold i was debating if it had even been cooked. Them salt and pepper sui mai were the only thing to turn up hot and was so bad it was like the seasoning was tipped on them and just put the lid on and shook ?? all in the bin they went! AVOID WITH ALL COSTS!
