I ordered beef chilli nachos and curry lazo loops from Sabroso's website for delivery to my hotel. As I'm not from here, I assumed when they accepted my order that I wasn't too far from the restaurant. However as soon as I paid and submitted the order I got a message to say the order would take an extra 20 mins, making expected delivery time an hour and ten minutes. Ha! It took them just under two hours to get to me. And when the food arrived I honestly wished they hadn't bothered. The nachos were all glued together with congealed cold cheese, the chilli was tepid and the guacamole seemed to have had only a passing familiarity with avocado. The churros were flaccid anaemic loops of stodge sitting in a smear of sticky chocolate-ish syrup and lacking the promised dusting of cinnamon sugar. It was largely inedible. I wish I'd listened to the critical reviews and not thought "it's a Wednesday in January, it'll be fine!". They claimed to be too busy to get the food out promptly but if this is the quality they're serving, it's a mystery why. Maybe it's better if you're local or eat at the restaurant but I wouldn't risk it after my experience.

Never had any problems in the past but tonight feel very let down, I ordered for a delivery at 18.25pm which turned up at 17.15pm I rang the restaurant and the lady on the phone was lovely and apologised and arranged for collection of the food, which they did and rescheduled the order for 18.30pm at 18.55pm still no sign of them so rang back to say they were a few minutes away finally at 19.10pm the food arrived. I accept we all make mistakes but to receive my food 40mins late after been delivered and hour and 15 minutes early not really very professional.

The BEST burritos around! I've tried for ages to find authentic, spicy burritos and really struggled. So glad I found Sabroso! Food is amazing, delivered fast and the team is so lovely too!

Ordered a takeaway 2 weeks ago to deliver WA2 postcode and me and my son both said best takeaway we've had in years. So ordered again last night and it took 2 hours to deliver and when it arrived it wasn't same experience. The fried items eg. Corn dogs, fried jalepones, chicken, churros ... first time were hot, crispy and delicious but last night were cold, soggy with no crispy texture...and we'd ordered 2 portions of some items because they were so good first time! I called restaurant just before it was delivered to ask what was happening and she said it was delayed because it was a big order and they wanted to make sure it was perfect...sorry, it wasn't and not worth £80 that I spent

I think they had a busy night tonight. We ordered for collection, and the website said we would have to wait an extra 10 ish minutes. Turned up at the alloted time, and food was just coming out of the kitchen. We both ordered Burritos, and whilst what we got was tasty and hot, the burritos were both missing any beans and salsa, my daughters was missing the requested extra guacamole. Essentially we both had a meat and rice wrap. We elected to finish the wraps rather than head back to the shop and put it down to a bad night for the store, as again what we did have was hot and tasty, and we were hungry.

I have ordered from Sabroso many times over the years and the food just gets better & better. I usually have it delivered in St Helens but we had it delivered to Wigan tonight and the food was still excellent and piping hot! The chicken tinga burrito was large and worth the price, the salad on the tacos was very fresh and I liked how the chicken for the taco was in its own pot so less mess. I queried through the instagram page and the customer service was excellent, highly recommended!

Why is it still takeaway only? I've been in here in the past and sat indoors, it was great. Since covid it's been shut for dining inside and I'm completely baffled this has gone on for so long. They must be losing money hand over fist. 3 years to renovate? Really? Very strange is all I can say.

We’ve ordered plenty of times from Sabroso now and the food has always been delicious! Very well cooked, tasty and hot still when we get it home. Very generous portions and we always have plenty leftover for the next day. The lazo loop churros are incredible too!
Restaurant looked better in the photos than it did in real life to be honest. I ordered a takeaway and the food was well made and really tasty. The young girl you served me was very friendly and helpful but the chef/lad in the back looked a bit moody. Stay in the kitchen mate. I’d go again though.

We didn't know what we wanted and we asked the kids and they wanted to try Mexican so after a look online, we decided to try here.We went to the restaurant only to find out thats you can't eat in (although there are chairs and tables but it looks like they may be refurbishing so that could explain it). This didn't put us off however as we just got a takeaway.The food was very nice. (However the kids tacos were very spicy so the kids didn't manage to eat them all) We had a couple of burritos and they were a great size and very tasty however the wraps were too soft (almost soggy) and this made them rip apart very easily (causing quite the mess lol)The prices were pretty good too. Can't really complain there.Staff were very friendly but we did have to ring the bell at the till to get there attention (I stood there for several minutes with noone coming as they were all chatting in the kitchen) but I didn't have too wait too long for our order so I can't really complain.I don't know if we will go back to be honest. It's not that it was bad or anything, but I have had better Mexican food off just eat which if we knew we couldn't sit in we would have just drove home and probably ordered from somewhere else.

My partner & I moved to the area a year ago and found Sabroso on St.Helens Eats - tried the Triple Heat Chicken burger and it was outstanding! Had the same burger every time it’s that good! Tried the tater tots last week and they didn’t disappoint- food is fast, warm & last week I collected & the staff were lovely! Can’t recommend highly enough, a must try!

ordered for the first time last night, food was amazing. very hot though! i was not prepared but it tasted so good so powered through. would 100% order again. excited to try some more new things. BBQ pulled pork was just fantastic. driver was polite. thank you for your hard work <3
