Centre of town pub so convenient to pop in if shopping.Prices really good, plenty of tvs and great if you love your sport.More of a passing pub for one or two pints for me, rather than somewhere I'd stay for a long period. It is what it is, and does a good trade.

Cheap ale, friendly bar staff and the odd drunk staggering across the non-designated dance floor, but enough of my partner. The ale is cheap therefore no complaints on that although on odd occasions the bar staff are non-existent (from 3 or 4 to zero). I suppose I shouldn't have sold them the knock-off vanishing cream. Visited the pub on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Always plenty in and a good atmosphere although some of the singers could do with entering BGT so that they could get the four red buzzers they deserve. Occasionally there is a saxophonist playing who belts out 2 or 3 tunes and then finishes. Pity really as he is quite good. Overall a pub that is recommended.

Ordered a pint at the bar started pouring the pint the barrel ran out so had to change it. After about 10 minutes waiting she topped up the stale flat pint I asked for a fresh pint she refused.
Nice pub lovely and clean ?
