Whent for my sisters birthday dinner ,was a great dinner food was superb especially the beef and lamb dinners, I had the fish hake which was very good nice and tasty ,vegetables where the best we had in any pub or restaurant we will be back,staff very friendly and welcoming nothing to much for them they're a credit to the team .Parking: Has two car parks but both were full but parked on road out side but if you disable people my be best to see if you can prearranged parking in the disable bays in can parks if allowed to do so

22 of us booked in for mother in laws 80th. Dropped off balloons and banners and was welcomed and staff/owners were extremely helpful and friendly. One family member got held up but they were happy to hang on before bringing starters. We'd pre-ordered and food came swiftly with a decent gap between courses. The food itself was delicious. First visit for me but I'd heard good things. So good I went for 3 courses. Highly recommend and will definitely pay another visit. The bar itself looked nice and country cozy?

We called in on a Monday, so I couldn't comment about the food, but the place was welcoming and the choice of beer was very good and well served . I will definitely be going back on a food serving day, when I am next in the area

I go regular to the star inn, every single occasion I go, the food is always delicious. The atmosphere is always top class. It is a lovely country public house and no need to change. Everything from food to drink to ambience , staff is fantastic, even more than fantastic. Don’t ever change your doing everything right ❤️,

Contrary to previous posters review we had no problems whatsoever at The Star. We dined twice over a 3 week period, food was beautiful on both occasions. The waitresses, yes are young girls, but very helpful, and, hardworking when we were there. Also the pub is a country pub, updating it and modernising it would ruin it.
